ルカ 1:35,37 （新改訳JSS2017）　御使いは彼女に答えた。「聖霊があなたの上に臨み、いと高き方の力があなたをおおいます。それゆえ、生まれる子は聖なる者、神の子と呼ばれます。神にとって不可能なことは何もありません。」

コメント

全能なる永遠の神が人の形を取り受肉されたことが、クリスマスのストーリーです。御使いガブリエルがマリヤに現れ語られたときにはこれがどのように起こるか全く見当がつきませんでした。しかし、ガブリエルはマリヤに告げました。神の霊が彼女に臨み、彼女を覆われる（初めの創造の時とよく似たことでした（創世記 1:2参照）。その結果、彼女の内にいのちを生じさせると言いました。これはまた私たちの内に聖霊がしてくださることにも似ています。「私たちは生ける神の宮なのです。神がこう言われるとおり、「わたしは彼らの間に住み、また歩む。わたしは彼らの神となり、彼らはわたしの民となる」（2コリント6:16 JSS2017）。パウロはエペソのクリスチャンのために祈りました。「どうか御父が、その栄光の豊かさにしたがって、内なる人に働く御霊により、力をもってあなたがたを強めてくださいますように。信仰によって、あなたがたの心のうちにキリストを住まわせてくださいますように」（エペソ3:16‐17 JSS2017）。これは「キリストにある」または、「あなたにおられるキリスト」とも言います。パウロはまたローマ8章の中でこのように説明しています。「キリストがあなたがたのうちにおられるなら、からだは罪のゆえに死んでいても、御霊が義のゆえにいのちとなっています。イエスを死者の中からよみがえらせた方の御霊が、あなたがたのうちに住んでおられるなら、キリストを死者の中からよみがえらせた方は、あなたがたのうちに住んでおられるご自分の御霊によって、あなたがたの死ぬべきからだも生かしてくださいます」（ローマ8:10‐11 JSS2017）。使徒ヨハネも言っています。「あなたがたのうちにおられる方は、この世にいる者よりも偉大だからです」（1ヨハネ4:4 JSS2017）。今年のクリスマスに、キリストが私たちの内に住み、受肉することをさらに体験しましょう。

Luk 1:35, 37 TPT  Gabriel answered, “The Spirit of Holiness will fall upon you and almighty God will spread his shadow of power over you in a cloud of glory! This is why the child born to you will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. 37 Not one promise from God is empty of power, for nothing is impossible with God!” 

Observation

Christmas is the story of the Incarnation of the Almighty Eternal God who took the form of Man to live among us. Mary had not idea how God’s word would be fulfilled in her life (and her body), but Gabriel told her that the Spirit of God would come upon her and God himself would overshadow (spread his shadow of power over, just at the time of creation, see Gen 1:2) her and this would produce life (the Son of God) within her womb.  This is also similar to what God does for us and in us.  “For indeed, we are the temple of the living God, just as God has said: I will make my home in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” (2Cor 6:16 TPT).  Paul also prays for the Ephesian Christians, “ And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. 17  Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.” (Eph 3:16-17 TPT).   This is also called being “in Christ” or “Christ in you” (see Col 1:27).  Paul explains this in Romans 8, “ Now Christ lives his life in you! And even though your body may be dead because of the effects of sin, his life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God. 11 Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you! “ (Rom 8:10-11 TPT). John also tells us, “The One who is living in you is far greater than the one who is in the world.” (1John 4:4 TPT).  Let’s experience more of the Incarnation of Christ in our lives during this Christmas.
