民数記 29:1,7 (新改訳JSS2017)　 第七の月には、その月の一日に聖なる会合を開かなければならない。あなたがたは、いかなる労働もしてはならない。これを、あなたがたにとって角笛が吹き鳴らされる日としなければならない。7この第七の月の十日には、あなたがたは聖なる会合を開き、自らを戒めなければならない。いかなる仕事もしてはならない。

一年を通してイスラエルの人々は共に集まり、祭りを祝う特別の祭日が複数ありました。秋にはその中の三つの祭りが集中していました。それは思い出の時と同時に、預言的な期待感を現すものでした。ラッパの祭りは第七の月の第一日(新月)に祝いました。これは宗教儀式用の暦上でしたが、民事(民間行事)の暦では第一の月の第一日でした。ラッパは様々な合図を知らせるために用いられました(民数記10:1-10参照)。その中で、一つの役目は祭日を知らせるものでした(民数記10:10 参照)、また、いけにえなどがささげられた時にも用いられました。しかし、この時には特別にラッパが吹き鳴らされ、新しい民間のお正月を知らせるものでした。神はご自分の永遠の宇宙的行事の暦を持っておられます。そして、この世の時代の終わりには七つのラッパを持って、最後のいくつかの出来事を知らせます。その中で、最後のラッパ、第七のラッパとともに、この時代の終わりが告げられます。「終わりのラッパとともに、たちまち、一瞬のうちに変えられます。ラッパが鳴ると、死者は朽ちないものによみがえり、私たちは変えられるのです」(1コリント 15:52 JSS2017；1テサロニケ4:16も参照)。「第七の御使いがラッパを吹いた。すると大きな声が天に起こって、こう言った。「この世の王国は、私たちの主と、そのキリストのものとなった。主は世々限りなく支配される」(黙示録11:15 JSS2017)。これはこの世の終わりの時代の幕を閉じるものですが、同時に新しい時代の幕開けでもあります(黙示録　21:3-7参照)。私たちは天からの合図のラッパの音を聞くようにと待ち望んでいるでしょうか?「また、あなたがたの喜びの日、あなたがたの例祭と新月の日に、自分たちの全焼のささげ物と交わりのいけにえの上にラッパを吹き鳴らすなら、あなたがたは自分たちの神の前に覚えられる。わたしはあなたがたの神、主である」(民数記10:10 JSS2017)。主のラッパが鳴り響くのを聞いたときにその合図に応答し、共に集められるために用意していなければなりません。

Observation

Throughout the year there were festivals where the Israelites gathered together for special times. In the fall there were three festivals which the Israelites were to celebrate before the Lord both in remembrance and prophetic expectation.  The Feast of Trumpets was to be celebrated on first day (New Moon) the seventh month. This was the ecclesiastical or religious calendar, but it was also the first day of the first month of the civil calendar which was considered the New Year.  Trumpets were used for a variety of purposes (see Num 10:1-10) but one was to announce and declare the feast of the Lord (see Num 10:10), and also the offerings presented to the Lord.  But this day was a special emphasis with the trumpets declaring the beginning of the new civil year. God has established certain times in his cosmic plan and we see 7 trumpets marking some of those final events.  We know there is a final Last Trumpet or Seventh trumpet that will announce the culminations of the ages.  “In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” (1Cor 15:52 NIV84; see 1Thes 4:16).  “The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.” (Rev 11:15 NIV84).  Even though this is the Final Trumpet for the end of this age, it is also the beginning of a new era (see Rev 21:3-7).  Are we listening for the signals from heaven? “Also at your times of rejoicing—your appointed feasts and New Moon festivals—you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for you before your God. I am the LORD your God.” (Num 10:10 NIV84).  We must be ready to respond and gather at the signal of the Lord when the trumpet sounds.
