箴言 23:18（新改訳JSS2017）　あなたには確かに将来がある。あなたの望みは絶たれることはない。

コメント

前の節がこの宣言に結びつきます。「．．．いつも、ただ主を恐れていよ。」リビングバイブルではこのように書いています。「将来は希望にあふれているのだから、悪人をうらやまず、いつも主を恐れて生活しなさい」（17-18節 JCB; 詩篇37:37；箴言24:14も参照）。私たちはどんなことに直面しても、どんなところを通っても、神は私たちのために将来と希望を用意しているのです。「わたしは、おまえたちのために立てた計画をよく知っている。それは災いではなく祝福を与える計画で、将来と希望を約束する。 12その時になったら、わたしはおまえたちの祈りに耳を傾ける。 13真剣に探し求めるなら、おまえたちはわたしを見つけることができる。 14そうだ。わたしはおまえたちに見つけられる」（エレミヤ29:11-14 JCB）。ここに私たちの希望と確信が根ざしているのです。「ですから、あなたがたの確信を投げ捨ててはいけません。その確信には大きな報いがあります。36 あなたがたが神のみこころを行って、約束のものを手に入れるために必要なのは、忍耐です」（へブル　10:35-36 JSS2017）。これこそ真理です。「真理を買え。それを売ってはならない」（箴言 23:23 JSS2017）。

Pro 23:18 NIV84 There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

(AMP) For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.

Observation

The previous verse leads into this one: “…continue in the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord all the day long.”(AMP)  This will ultimately lead to future and a hope that is the ultimate reward of a life lived in the fear of the Lord (see also Psa 37:37; Prov 24:14 etc.). No matter what we go through our God has a future and a hope for us.  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jer 29:11-13 NIV84).  This is where our hope and confidence lies. “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” (Heb 10:35-36 NIV84). This the truth: “Buy the truth and do not sell it…” (Prov 23:23 NIV84)
