コメント

パウロはエペソの教会の長老たちと指導者たちに最後であると思っている中で語っています。今まで語ってきた福音のメッセージをもう一度念を入れてまとめています、神への悔い改めと主イエスへの信仰と信頼（21節参照;これはイエスのメッセージの中心であり、弟子たちも同じことを語られました）。さらに、この恵みの福音と真理から彼らを引き離そうとする者に要注意を警告しました（28-31節参照）。そして最後に彼らをこの神の恵みにゆだねる祈りをしました。この恵みのメッセージこそ私たちを建て上げ、励まし、支えてくれます、そして、すべての聖徒たちを（ユダヤ人も異邦人も）永遠の相続へと導き入れてくれます。パウロは後にエペソの教会への手紙の中でも祈りました。「また、あなたがたの心の目がはっきり見えるようになって、神の召しにより与えられる望みがどのようなものか、聖徒たちが受け継ぐものがどれほど栄光に富んだものか．．．を、知ることができますように」（エペソ 1:18-19 JSS2017）。ペテロも同じようなことを言っています。「また、朽ちることも、汚れることも、消えて行くこともない資産を受け継ぐようにしてくださいました。これらは、あなたがたのために天に蓄えられています。5あなたがたは、信仰により、神の御力によって守られており、終わりの時に現されるように用意されている救いをいただくのです」（１ペテロ 1:4-5 JSS2017）。神の恵みは私たちを救うだけではなく、守り、強め、建て上げ、そして、永遠の資産をも受け継がせてくださるのです。驚くばかりの恵みです。Amazing Graceの英語の歌詞の三番にこのような表現があります「ここまで私を無事に導いてくれたのは神の恵み、恵みこそ、私をわが家（天国、永遠の相続）まで導いてくれる。」

Act 20:32 NLT “And now I entrust you to God and the message of His grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those He has set apart for Himself.

Observation

Paul is speaking to the elders and leaders of the church of Ephesus for what he knows will probably be the last time.  He reiterates his message that he has always spoken, repentance and faith toward God (see v. 21; also central message of Jesus and the disciples).  He warns them to be on guard against those who would corrupt the message of the Gospel of grace and lead them away from the truth (see v.28-31).  But then prays for them and commits (entrusts) them to the message of grace. This message of grace will build us up and give us an inheritance with all the other saints (Jews and Gentiles).  In his letter to this same Ephesian church Paul again prays the same thing, “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope He has given to those He called—His holy people who are His rich and glorious inheritance.” (Eph 1:18 NLT) Peter says it this way, “we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 5 And through your faith, God is protecting you by His power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.” (1Pet 1:4-5 NLT) God’s grace not only saves us, but it keeps us, strengthens us, builds us up, and gives us an inheritance in eternity. Hang on to God’s grace and never let it go. Amazing Grace. “…Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.”
