ヘブル1:2-3 （新改訳JSS2017） この終わりの時には、御子にあって私たちに語られました。神は御子を万物の相続者と定め、御子によって世界を造られました。3御子は神の栄光の輝き、また神の本質の完全な現れであり、その力あるみことばによって万物を保っておられます。御子は罪のきよめを成し遂げ、いと高き所で、大いなる方の右の座に着かれました。

コメント

へブル書は旧約で語られた預言と様々な影やひな形が如何にして、イエスを指し、成就されたかを教えてくれます。影より実物がはるかに優れているように、イエスを指しているすべてよりも、イエスご自身の偉大さを示しています。まず、イエスが万物（世界と宇宙の全て）をご自分のことばによって創造された創造主であることを知らされています。それからこの御子であるイエスこそ「神の栄光の輝き、また神の本質の完全な現れであ（る）」ことを知らなければなりません。いわゆる、主なる神ご自身を本質的にも、栄光にも同じであり、私達が見えるように反映しているお方です。そのために人となられた神です。さらに、ことばによってすべてをお造りになっただけではなく、それを支え、保たれているのです。そして、罪の贖いとなられ、私たちの罪をすべてを洗い、消し去ってくださるだけではなく、この世界に及ぼされた罪の汚染と景況をも完全に取り去り、消してくださるのです。その結末として、輝かしいいと高き所の大能者の右に着座されて、主権者となられています。へブル書はこの方の全てに勝るすぐれたところを追求します。主イエス・キリストに比べられる者は他にありません。

Heb 1:2-3 NIV84  But in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Observation

The book of Hebrews shows us how Jesus is the fulfillment of all that the OT has spoken prophetically and in types and shadows.  Just as the substance is so much greater than the shadow so Jesus is greater than all that pointed to him in the OT.  The first thing that we must understand is that Jesus is the creator of the universe (see Gen 1-2).  The next thing we see is that as the Son of God, he is the very “radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being.” “The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image!” (v.3 TPT)  He is the express image of God in human form.  Then his word not only created everything but sustains and keeps everything together.  Finally, Jesus purpose was to accomplish the atonement and redemption of sin (provide complete and full cleansing from sin and all its effects on creation.) Because of all this he now sits at the right hand of the God of Majesty in Heaven far above everything and everyone.  There is no one else that can compare to Jesus.
