ヘブル 6:1-3 （新改訳JSS2017）　ですから私たちは、キリストについての初歩の教えを後にして、成熟を目指して進もうではありませんか。死んだ行いからの回心、神に対する信仰、2きよめの洗いについての教えと手を置く儀式、死者の復活と永遠のさばきなど、基礎的なことをもう一度やり直したりしないようにしましょう。3神が許されるなら、先に進みましょう。

コメント
この箇所は救いと信仰に関する基礎的な真理は重要ではないと言っているわけではありません。さらに多くの素晴らしいことを見て理解するべきであると言っています。これらはヘブル書がいくつか説明しようとしています。しかし、この著者はこれでも、まだ表面をなぞっただけのものであると言っています（5:11－14参照）。でも、これらの基礎的な真理を理解しないで、神の計画と目的のさらなる壮大さを理解することはできません。ゆえに、ここでもう一度福音の土台的真理を述べています。死んだ行いからの回心（悔い改め）、（神に対する）信仰、バプテスマ（洗礼）、按手（手を置く儀式）、死者の復活、と永遠のさばき。これらは非常に大事な初歩の真理ではあるが、その先にはまだ素晴らしいものがあるので、「先に進みましょう。」と勧めています。イエス・キリストの福音の宝石には無数のファセット（切子）があり、聖霊様にこれらを示してくださり、その偉大な美しさを見つめ、理解できるように助けていただきましょう。

Heb 6:1-3 NLT  So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. 2 You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3  And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.

Heb 6:1-3 MSG  So come on, let’s leave the preschool fingerpainting exercises on Christ and get on with the grand work of art. Grow up in Christ. The basic foundational truths are in place: turning your back on “salvation by self-help” and turning in trust toward God; 2 baptismal instructions; laying on of hands; resurrection of the dead; eternal judgment. 3 God helping us, we’ll stay true to all that. But there’s so much more. Let’s get on with it!

Observation

This passage is not saying that the foundational truths of salvation and our faith are unimportant but rather that there is so much more to be seen and understood.  These are the things that the Book of Hebrews is trying to explain and show us.  But even the writer of Hebrews says he is barely scratching the surface (see 5:11-14). Without the basic foundations of our faith there is no way to understand the grander pictures of what God’s plan and purposes are.  So he reiterates them here: Repentance, Faith (toward God), Baptism, Laying on of hands, Resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.  “God helping us, we’ll stay true to all that. But there’s so much more. Let’s get on with it!” (MSG)  “So with God’s enablement we will move on to deeper truths.” (TPT).  Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us see all the many facets of the gem of the Gospel in Jesus Christ.
