ヘブル7:24-26 （新改訳JSS2017）　イエスは永遠に存在されるので、変わることがない祭司職を持っておられます。25したがってイエスは、いつも生きていて、彼らのためにとりなしをしておられるので、ご自分によって神に近づく人々を完全に救うことがおできになります。26このような方、敬虔で、悪も汚れもなく、罪人から離され、また天よりも高く上げられた大祭司こそ、私たちにとってまさに必要な方です。

コメント

イエスは私たちの変わることのない、永遠に存在する大祭司です。また、罪のない神の子であり、完全な、罪に汚されていないいけにえとして私たちのために御自分をささげられました。ゆえにここで断言されています。「また、ご自分を通して神のもとに来る人々を、完全に救うことがおできになります。永遠に生きておられるキリストは、いつも神のそばで、ご自分の血によって彼らの罪が帳消しになるようにとりなしていてくださるのです」（25節 JCB; ヘブル10:19-22も参照）。イエスご自身も宣言しました。「いいですか。わたしが道です。そして真理でもあり、いのちでもあります。わたしを通らなければ、だれ一人、父のところへは行けません」（ヨハネ 14:6 JCB）。また使徒たちも宣言しました。「この方以外には、だれによっても救われません。天下に、人がその名を呼んで救われる名は、ほかにないのです」（使徒の働き　4:12 JCB）。イエス・キリストのみが救いの道です。イエスは大祭司としてこれを可能にし、私達に与えてくださったのです。そればかりか、常に私たちのために天の父なる神の前でとりなしてくださっているのです。私たちの救い主イエス・キリストの完成された救いに信頼、望み、確信を置きましょう。

Heb 7:24-26 NIV84  But because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood.

25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. 26 Such a high priest meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

Observation

Jesus is our permanent High Priest.  Because he lives forever, he is an eternal High Priest.  Also He is the sinless Son of God who offered himself as the holy, perfect and sinless sin sacrifice in our stead.  So it declares here, “Therefore He is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through Him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.” (NLT; see also Heb 10:19-22)  Jesus himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6 NLT)  The Apostles also declared, “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 NLT) Jesus Christ is the only way of Salvation.  And Jesus is the High Priest that makes that possible.  Let us put our trust, hope, and confidence of salvation completely in Jesus, our Savior.
