ヘブル11:8-10 （リビングバイブルJCB）　アブラハムも、神を信じました。神に、生まれ故郷を離れて新しく与える地に向かうようにと指示された時、彼はそのことばに従い、行く先も知らずに出て行ったのです。 9そして、約束の地カナンに入ったあとも、外国からの旅行者のように天幕（テント）生活を送りました。神から同じ約束を受けた息子のイサクと孫のヤコブも、その地で同様に天幕生活を送りました。 10アブラハムがこうした生活に耐えられたのは、揺るがない土台に建つ天の都に、神が必ず連れて行ってくださると確信し、待ち望んでいたからです。その天の都を設計し、建設されたのは神ご自身です。

アブラハムは信仰の父であり、行き先が分からないで、主なる神が導かれるままに従いました。見えなくても、知らなくても、信じて従いました。「私たちは見えるものによらず、信仰によって歩んでいます」（2コリント5:7 JSS2017）。肉眼では見えませんでしたが、霊的な領域の実態を見つめていました。主が約束し導かれることを信じ、信頼して従いました。「そう認めた時、彼らは心から、天にある故郷を慕い求めました。 15もし彼らに、この世の魅力ある生活に戻る気があったなら、いつでも戻れました。 16しかし彼らは、それには目もくれず、神が用意された天の都を一心に見つめていました。それで神は、彼らの神と呼ばれることを誇りとなさったのです」（11:14-16 JCB; 12:22; 13:14も参照）。私達には確かな行先（終着点）があるのです。それは天の都エルサレムです（黙示録21:1-2参照）。これは場所よりは、よみがえりのいのちと天の領域の実態を現すものです。パウロはこのように言いました。「しかし、私たちのほんとうのふるさと（国籍）は天にあるのです。そこには救い主である主イエス・キリストがおられます。私たちは、キリストがそこから迎えに帰って来られるのを、ひたすら待ち望んでいるのです。 21その時、キリストは、あらゆるものを従わせることのできる超自然的な力で、私たちの死ぬべき体を、ご自身と同じ栄光の体に変えてくださるのです」（ピリピ 3:20-21 JCB）。天の領域、霊の実態のために生きる者となりましょう。

Heb 11:8-10 TLV  By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place he was to receive as an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he migrated to the land of promise as if it were foreign, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob—fellow heirs of the same promise. 10 For he was waiting for the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

Observation

Abraham the Father of Faith, obeyed, and followed where the Lord led him, not knowing, not seeing but believing.  “We live by faith, not by sight.” (2Cor 5:7 NIV84) They did not see it in the natural but in the reality of the spiritual world.  They fully trusted God was leading them to the country He had promised. “For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. 15 If indeed they had been thinking about where they had come from, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But as it is, they yearn for a better land—that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.” (11:14-16 TLV; see also 12:22; 13:14).  We have a destiny, the Heavenly Jerusalem (see Rev 21:1-2).  This is not just a location but a state of being, resurrection life and realities.  Paul says it this way, “For our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. 21 He will transform this humble body of ours into the likeness of His glorious body, through the power that enables Him even to put all things in subjection to Himself.” (Phil 3:20-21 TLV). Let us live for heavenly, spiritual realities.
