ヘブル13：20-21（新改訳JSS2017）　永遠の契約の血による羊の大牧者、私たちの主イエスを、死者の中から導き出された平和の神が、あらゆる良いものをもって、あなたがたを整え、みこころを行わせてくださいますように。また、御前でみこころにかなうことを、イエス・キリストを通して、私たちのうちに行ってくださいますように。栄光が世々限りなくイエス・キリストにありますように。アーメン。

へブル書の教えと啓示の視点から見て、この祝祷は驚くべき力強いものです。平和の神（ヤーウエイ・シャローム）が祝福されるのです。これはイエスの復活によって承認された尊い贖いの血によって証印され、批准された永遠の契約に基づいているのです。イエスはまた私たちの大牧者でもあるのです（ヤーウエイ・ローヒ）。その御業によって、私たちの内に働き、神に喜ばれる、全ての良いわざを備えてくださるのです。パウロもこのことを言っています。「神はあなたがたに、あらゆる恵みをあふれるばかりに与えることがおできになります。あなたがたが、いつもすべてのことに満ち足りて、すべての良いわざにあふれるようになるためです」（2コリント9:8 JSS2017）。「実に、私たちは神の作品であって、良い行いをするためにキリスト・イエスにあって造られたのです。神は、私たちが良い行いに歩むように、その良い行いをあらかじめ備えてくださいました」（エペソ2:10 JSS2017）。そしてパウロは祈り宣言しています。「あなたがたの間で良い働きを始められた方は、キリスト・イエスの日が来るまでにそれを完成させてくださると、私は確信しています」（ピリピ 1:6 JSS2017）。最終的にこれらはすべてイエス・キリストと父なる神に世々にいたって栄光があるためです（ローマ 16:27, ガラテヤ1:5, 1テモテ 1:17, 1ペテロ 5:11, 2ペテロ 3:18, ユダ1:25, 黙示録 5:9,13も参照)。毎日、私たちはこの祈りを告白すべきです。自分のために、全ての聖徒のために。

Heb 13:20-21 NIV84  May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

(AMP) Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament), [Isa. 55:3; 63:11; Ezek. 37:26; Zech. 9:11.]  21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it).

Observation

In light of the teach and revelation in the Book of Hebrews, this is a powerful and amazing prayer of benediction.  It is the God of Peace (Yahweh Shalom) who bless us.  It is by the blood that ratified and sealed the eternal covenant by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus is also our Great Shepherd of the sheep (Yahweh Raah).  What he has done and provided for us equips us for every good work, which he accomplishes through us by working in us to make us pleasing to God the Father.  Paul expresses this over us also, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2Cor 9:8 NIV84).  “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph 2:10 NIV84). So Paul declares by faith, “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” (Phil 1:6 NLT) Ultimately, it must be all for the glory of Jesus Christ for all ages to come (forever and ever) (see also Rom 16:27, Gal 1:5, 1Ti 1:17, 1Pe 5:11, 2Pe 3:18, Jud 1:25, Rev 5:9,13).  This is a prayer we should pray daily over ourselves and over all the saints of God.
