箴言2:2-5 （新改訳JSS2017）あなたの耳を知恵に傾け、心を英知に向けるなら、3もしあなたが悟りに呼びかけ、英知に向かって声をあげ、4銀のように、これを探し、隠された宝のように探り出すなら、5そのとき、あなたは主を恐れることをわきまえ知り、神を知ることを見出すようになる。

コメント

ヤコブは進めています。「あなたがたのうちに、知恵に欠けている人がいるなら、その人は、だれにでも惜しみなく、とがめることなく与えてくださる神に求めなさい。そうすれば与えられます」（ヤコブ1:5 JSS2017）。知恵は自然に得るものでもなく、時間と共に必ずしも得るものではない。主なる神が知恵の源であり、求める者には豊かに与えてくださると約束しています。今日の箇所ではこの知恵は簡単に、労せずに得るものではないと教えています。熱心に求めなければなりません、銀や金を探すように探さなければなりません。宝探しのように探し求めるのです（箴言3:14-15参照）。しかし、熱心に求めれば、知恵の源なる神が見出すように助けてくださると約束しています。実は、キリストご自身が知恵の体現（人格化）であると聖書は教えています。「このキリストのうちに、知恵と知識の宝がすべて隠されています」（コロサイ2:3 JSS2017）。「ユダヤ人であってもギリシア人であっても、召された者たちにとっては、神の力、神の知恵であるキリストです」（1コリント1:24 JSS2017； 箴言8:1;22-30も参照）。私たちの内にキリストがおられるなら、私たちはキリストの内にあるなら、常に、知恵の内に歩むことができます。しかし、同時に、私たちは知恵の内に成長しなければなりません。「人はどうすれば知恵をみがけるでしょうか。それには、主を信じて従うことです。神のおきてを守ってこそ、賢くなれるのです」（詩篇111:10 JCB; エペソ1:7も参照）。

Pro 2:2-5 TPT  So train your heart to listen when I speak and open your spirit wide to expand your discernment—then pass it on to your sons and daughters. 3 Yes, cry out for comprehension and intercede for insight. 4 For if you keep seeking it like a man would seek for sterling silver, searching in hidden places for cherished treasure, 5 then you will discover the fear of the Lord and find the true knowledge of God.

Observation

James advises us, “And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it!” (Jam 1:5 TPT).  Wisdom is not something we come by naturally, nor is it necessarily naturally acquired over time.  The Lord God is the source of wisdom, but he has promised to give it liberally to those who ask for it and seek diligently for it. But, this passage also tells us that wisdom is not gotten easily and effortlessly.  We are to diligently, and earnestly seek for it, as for silver or gold, and seeking for it as for treasure (see also Prov 3:14-15.  The promise though, is if we do diligently seek for wisdom, God who is the source of all wisdom will help us find it.  Actually, Christ himself is Wisdom personified.  “In Him (Christ) lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Col 2:3 NLT) “But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.” (1Cor 1:24 NLT; see also Prov 8:1,22-30). When Christ is in us and we are in Christ, we can walk in wisdom.  But we are also to grow in wisdom.  “Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey His commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise Him forever!” (Psa 111:10 NLT; also see Eph 1:7)
