エペソ 3:16-19 （新改訳JSS2017）　どうか御父が、その栄光の豊かさにしたがって、内なる人に働く御霊により、力をもってあなたがたを強めてくださいますように。17 信仰によって、あなたがたの心のうちにキリストを住まわせてくださいますように。そして、愛に根ざし、愛に基礎を置いているあなたがたが、18 すべての聖徒たちとともに、その広さ、長さ、高さ、深さがどれほどであるかを理解する力を持つようになり、19 人知をはるかに超えたキリストの愛を知ることができますように。そのようにして、神の満ちあふれる豊かさにまで、あなたがたが満たされますように。

これはまたパウロの力強い祈りです。私たちは神の計画と目的を本当に理解するときに、圧倒されやすいです。この祈りは聖霊による神の力が私たちの内に働き、この使命のために力づけられるためです。さらに、この働きのために動機となる神の愛を悟ることができるためです（ローマ8:36‐39参照）。また、進んで言ってます。この神は「私たちの内に働く御力によって、私たちが願うところ、思うところの全てをはるかに超えて行うことのできる方」です。そして、これはキリスト・イエスの栄光のためであり、それは世々限りなく、とこしえにあるように。アーメン!!! （20‐21節 ）

Eph 3:16-19  I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Observation

This is another of Paul’s powerful prayers.  When we understand the plan and purpose God has for us, it can be overwhelming.  This prayer is for the power of the Holy Spirit to work in us and strengthen us for the task, but also that we may understand the love that is the motivation both of God and that we must have to fulfill this incredible work (see also Rom 8:37-39).  It goes on to say that God is able to “do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” (v.19 NIV84)  And it is all for the glory of Christ Jesus, through the church (us), throughout all generations, for ever and ever!! AMEN!!
