ゼパニア書 2:7,11 (新改訳JSS2017)　 海辺はユダの家の残りの者の所有となる。彼らは海辺で羊を飼い、日が暮れると、アシュケロンの家々で横になる。彼らの神、主が彼らを顧みて、彼らを元どおりにされるからだ。11主への恐れが彼らに下る。主が地のすべての神々を消し去られるからだ。人々はそれぞれ、自分のところで主を礼拝する。異国のすべての島々も。

コメント

ときに聖書を読みながら、今日の朝刊を呼んでいるようにも感じます、しかしながら、神に視点から見た物事の成り行きです（4-5節参照）。神はあらかじめから計画と目的を持っておられ、これらを成就させるために働き続けられています。すべての国々をさばかれることが書かれていますが(詩篇96:13; 98:9; マタイ25:31-46なども参照)、その目的は滅ぼし、聖絶することではなく、国々の中に根付いている悪を取り除くためです。これらすべての出来事の中で、神はまた、「ユダの家の残りの者」(ユダヤ人)をその父祖たち、アブラハム、イサク、ヤコブなどに約束として与えられた土地に戻されることを約束されました（すでに、この成就を少なくとも部分的に見てきています）。しかし、最終的な目的はイスラエル（ユダヤ人）だけではなく、地の全ての国々をご自分のところに引き戻そうとしているのです。国々の神々を滅ぼし消し去りますが、それは「人々はそれぞれ、自分のところで主を礼拝する。異国のすべての島々も。 」のためです。島国の日本もそこに含まれています（イザヤ 24:14-16; 42:2,10; 49:1なども参照）。主なる神が日本において、国々においてこれから何をされるか、期待する心で待ち望みましょう。収穫の主はその収穫のために働いてこられたすべてを刈り取られます。

Zep 2:7,11 NIV84  It will belong to the remnant of the house of Judah; there they will find pasture. In the evening they will lie down in the houses of Ashkelon. The LORD their God will care for them; he will restore their fortunes. 11 The LORD will be awesome to them when he destroys all the gods of the land. The nations on every shore will worship him, every one in its own land.

Observation

Sometimes reading Scripture is almost like reading the morning newspaper, but from God’s perspective (see v.4-5).  God has a plan and purpose which he is bringing to pass and fulfillment.  Although He will judge all the nations of the earth (see Psa 96:13; 98:9; also Matt 25:31-46), His purpose is not to destroy and annihilate peoples but judge and remove evil that is enrooted in the nations of the earth. In the midst of all that happens He also promises to return “the remnant of the house of Judah” (The Jews) to their homeland which God promised to their fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we have seen this already. But the ultimate goal is to bring the not only the nation of Israel but all the nations of the earth back to himself.  He will judge and “destroy all the gods of the land.”  So that “men shall worship Him, every one from his place, even all the isles and coastlands of the nations” (Amp.) (see also Isa 24:14-16; 42:2,10; 49:1 etc.) This includes Japan, a nation of islands.  God has a great and glorious plan for the salvation of Japan along with the nations of the earth (see Rev. 11:15) Let’s watch and see what God is about to do in Japan and the nations of the earth.  The Lord of the Harvest is about to have the great harvest He has been preparing for.
