ゼパニア書 3:9,14,16,17（新改訳JSS2017）　そのとき、わたしは　諸国の民の唇を変えて清くする。彼らはみな主の御名を呼び求め、一つになって主に仕える。14娘シオンよ、喜び歌え。イスラエルよ、喜び叫べ。娘エルサレムよ、心の底から喜び躍れ。16その日、エルサレムは次のように言われる。「シオンよ、恐れるな。気力を失うな。17あなたの神、主は、あなたのただ中にあって　救いの勇士だ。主はあなたのことを大いに喜び、その愛によってあなたに安らぎを与え、高らかに歌ってあなたのことを喜ばれる」と。

コメント

ゼパニアの最後のことばはイスラエルに対して、「娘シオンよ、喜び歌え。イスラエルよ、喜び叫べ。娘エルサレムよ、心の底から喜び躍れ」です。1-2章ではイスラエルとほかの国々に対するかなり厳しい責と激しさばきの宣告の後にゼパニアは救われる、贖われる、回復される主なる神へ賛美、礼拝するようにと呼びかけています。しかし、最もおどろくのはこれらの贖われた、救われた者の礼拝ではなく、主なる神ご自身が、ご自分の喜びを抑えきれず、ご自分の愛しい者に対して現される喜びの賛美声です。「あなたのことをことのほか喜ぶ。あなたを愛し、責めることはなさらない。」聞こえてくるのは、喜びにあふれた聖歌隊の歌声だろうか。いや、神が、あなたがたのことを喜び、歌っているのだ」（JCB）。イザヤはこの神の喜びをこのように表しています。「神は、花婿が花嫁を喜ぶように、あなたを喜びます」（イザヤ62:5 JCB）。主なる神はあなたを愛しています。あなたのためにすばらしい計画を持っておられます。しかし、何よりは、あなたをことのほか喜び、楽しみ、喜び歌っています（イザヤ62:11-12参照）。

Zep 3:9,14,16,17 NLT  “Then I will purify the speech of all people, so that everyone can worship the LORD together. 14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! 16 On that day the announcement to Jerusalem will be, “Cheer up, Zion! Don’t be afraid! 17 For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

Observation

The closing message of Zephaniah to Israel is, “Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!” After strong rebukes and harsh judgments both to the nation of Israel and the people of all nations, Zephaniah closes with a call to worship and rejoicing before the Lord God who saves, redeems, and restores.  But the most amazing part is not the worship and praise of Israel and other people who have been saved and restored, but of the Lord himself who cannot restrain himself from rejoicing and singing over the object of his love and delight.  “He will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” (ESV) Isaiah describes God’s joy as a bridegroom over his bride, “For as a young man marries his virgin bride, so your builder marries you, And as a bridegroom is happy in his bride, so your God is happy with you.” (Isa 62:5 MSG) The Lord God loves you, has a wonderful plan for your life, but more than anything else, rejoices and sings with delight over you (see also Isa 62:11-12).
