コロサイ 2:2-3 （リビングバイブルJCB）　2私はこう祈り求めています。あなたがたが心に励ましを受け、強い愛のきずなで互いに結ばれるように。また、ゆるぎない確信と豊かな理解力をもって、ますます深く、神の奥義であるキリストを知ることができるように、と。 3このキリストのうちには、まだ私たちの知らない知恵と知識の宝がすべて隠されているのです。

コメント

パウロはよく奥義について語っています。ギリシャ語で「隠された神性なものや普通の人間的な理解では知りえない秘密、神の啓示によってのみ知られるもの」と言う意味のことばがつかわれています。また、「神がご自分の義人たちと関わることがらのあらかじめからの神秘的な決めごとで、悪の者から隠され、神を敬い御心を行う人に表すもの」という意味です。パウロは「このキリストのうちには、まだ私たちの知らない知恵と知識の宝がすべて隠されているのです」と明かしています。また、前の章でも説明しています。「神を愛し、神のために生きる人々にそれを明かされました。．．．その計画とは、「あなたがたの心の中に住むキリストこそ、栄光にあずかる唯一の希望である」。コリントのクリスチャンにはこのように言いました。「神によってあなたがたはキリスト・イエスのいのちを得たからです。キリストは、神の救いの計画を明らかにしてくださいました。私たちを神に受け入れられる者としてくださったのは、このキリストでした。この方は、私たちを聖なる者とし、また、私たちを買い取るために、ご自身を投げ出されたのです」（1コリント1:30 JCB）。単純にまとめますと、その奥義とは、神が私たちのために持っている目的と計画はすべてキリストの内にあるということです。

Col 2:2  My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Observation

Paul often speaks of mysteries.  The Greek word means, “Some sacred thing hidden or secret which is naturally unknown to human reason and is only known by the revelation of God.”  (WordStudy Dictionary)  or “The secret counsels which govern God in dealing with the righteous, which are hidden from ungodly and wicked men but plain to the godly.” Paul tells us in simple terms what this mystery is, “…Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”  In chapter 1 Paul tells us, “the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Col 1:27 NIV84)  The mystery of God is  that which God has planned and purposed from the beginning but only now is being revealed in Christ.  But it is only revealed, made plain to understand, to those who have been chosen and saved by Jesus’ redemption and salvation.  The mystery is, “Christ in you, the Hope of Glory;” and “Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” To the Corinthians Paul explained, “It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.” (1Cor 1:30 NIV84) Everything we are and have, and everything God has planned and promised for us is “In Christ”.
