コロサイ 3:1-2 （リビングバイブルJCB）　1キリストが死からよみがえられた時、あなたがたも共によみがえったのですから、天にある無尽蔵の富と喜びに目を向けなさい。そこでは、キリストが栄誉と力とを帯びて、神の右の座についておられます。 2地上のことをあれこれ気に病まず、天上のことで心を満たされていなさい。

私たちの状況がどのようなものに見えても、真の現実を思い、見上げなければなりません。私たちはキリストと共によみがえらせられ、キリストとともに天上に座らせられているのです、いわゆる、キリストとともに支配者とされているのです（エペソ1:19-20; 2:5-6 も参照）。このことを認識し、認める時に私たちの人生とその見方をまったく違った視点から見ることができるようになります。キリストは罪と死に打ち勝ち、墓からよみがえられたのです。そして、今は全能なる主権者なる神の右に着座されているのです。しかし、そればかりではなく、私たちもキリストと共によみがえらされて、圧倒的な勝利の立場にキリストと共にいるのです。私たちの周りのことに目が取られて、その事実にとらわれやすいのです。しかし、真実を知って心得なければなりません。英語のパッション訳（The Passion Translation）はこのように訳しています。「そうです、天の領域の無尽蔵の富を心行くばかりに満足しなさい。あなたの思いを天上の現実で満たし、この自然の世界に心をそらせてはいけません。」また、もう一つの訳、ザ・メッセージ・バイブル（The Message Bible）はこのように訳しています。「前にあることだけにとらわれて、下ばかり見て、足を引きずりながら歩くな。見上げなさい。キリストがおられるところで何が起こっているかを認識しなさい。そこで最も重要なことが起きてるのです。」パウロはまた、コリントの教会にも進めました。「ですから私たちは、いま見えるもの、すなわち身の回りの苦しみには目をとめません。むしろ、今は見えない天にある喜びを望み見ているのです。苦しみは、やがて消え去ります。しかし、その喜びは永遠に続くのです」（2コリント 4:18 JCB）。

Col 3:1-2 NIV84  Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Observation

No matter what our situation looks like we must remember what the true reality is. We have been raised with Christ and are seated with him in heavenly places (see also Eph 1:19-20; 2:5-6).  When we recognize this, our life and outlook on life takes on a completely different perspective.  Christ has overcome sin and death and risen from the grave.  Not only that he is now seated at the right hand of the Sovereign Almighty God.  But that’s not all.  We are also seated with him in the place of victorious overcoming.  It is so easy to get caught up in and only see the situation we seem to be in.  Paul challenges us, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” The Passion translation says, “Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.” And The Message Bible says, “Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ–that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.” Paul challenged the Corinthians too, “So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” (2Cor 4:18 NLT).
