知恵は非常に効果で人生の中でとても大切なものですが、私たちの子どもたちが知恵の内に歩み、生きていることが私たち親の心を喜ばせることです。真理と知恵は時代から時代へと継承しなければなりません。そのためには子供たちに教えるだけではなく、彼らに模範として生きて、示さなければなりません。子供や孫などがその知恵の内に歩むときに、これ上喜びはありません（24,25節、箴言10:1；15:20； 3ヨハネ1:4など参照）。これは一回限りのものではなく、ライフスタイル（日常の生き方）でなければなりません、いかなる時も、環境においても。一生涯かけて追い求めなければならないものです。「父は私を教えて言った。「私のことばがおまえの心を支えるように。私の命令を守って生きよ。5知恵を得よ。悟りを得よ。忘れてはならない。私の口のことばからそれてはならない。6知恵を捨てるな。これがあなたを守る。これを愛せ。これがあなたを保つ。7知恵の初めに、知恵を買え。あなたが得たものすべてに換えて、悟りを買え。8それを尊べ。それはあなたを高める。それを抱きしめると、それはあなたに誉れを与える。9それは頭に麗しい花の冠を与え、輝かしい冠をあなたに授ける」 （箴言4:4-9　JSS2017）

Pro 23:12,15,16 NLT  Commit yourself to instruction; listen carefully to words of knowledge. 15 My child, if your heart is wise, my own heart will rejoice! 16 Everything in me will celebrate when you speak what is right.

Observation

Not only is wisdom valuable and important to our lives, when our children also walk in wisdom, it is a great joy to our hearts as parents.  Truth and wisdom are to be passed from one generation to the next. In order to do that we must not only teach and instruct our children, but we must also model and show them how to walk in wisdom. There is no greater joy than when we see our children and grandchildren walk in wisdom (see also v.24,25; Pro 10:1; 15:20; 3John 1:4).  This is not something that happens just once or an instruction in one setting, it must be a lifestyle and something that comes out no matter what the situation or circumstance.  It is a lifetime pursuit. “Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them. 6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. 7 Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. 8 Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. 9 She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor.” (Pro 4:5-9 NIV84; also see 1:1-7)
