箴言、知恵の泉 27:1（リビングバイブルJCB）今日一日、何が起こるかわからないのに、明日の予定を得意になって話してはいけません。

今日（今）だけ保証されています。昨日は何も代えることもやり直すこともできません（学ぶこと、思い出にしかすぎません）。明日は神のみが知りえるものです。神の許しなくして私たちは与えられません。与えられているのは今日だけです。ヤコブはこのように教えています。「よく聞きなさい。「今日か明日、あの町に出かけ、一年かけてひともうけしよう」ともくろむ人たち。 14明日どんなことがわが身に起こるか、だれにもわからないのです。あなたがたのいのちは、朝霧のようにはかないものです。 15ですから、こう言うべきです。「もし主がお許しくださるなら、私はあのことと、このことをしよう。」 16ところが、あなたがたは高ぶって、むなしい計画で頭がいっぱいなのです。自分に頼っていては、決して神を喜ばせることはできません」（ヤコブ14:13-16 JCB）。今日与えられている時を捕らえて、やるべきことをやらなければなりません。ヤコブは続けて言ってます。「ですから、何をすべきかわかっていながら行わないのは、罪だということを自覚しなさい」（ヤコブ 4:17 JCB）。パウロも教えています。「神は言われます。「恵みの時に、わたしはあなたに答え、救いの日に、あなたを助ける。」見よ、今は恵みの時、今は救いの日です」（２コリント6:2 JSS2017; エペソ5:15-17も参照）。

Pro 27:1 (NLT) Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring.

(MSG) Don’t brashly announce what you’re going to do tomorrow; you don’t know the first thing about tomorrow.

Observation

Today (now) is the only time that is guaranteed to us.  There is nothing we can do about yesterday (but learn from it and remember it).  Tomorrow will only come if God ordains and allows it; we are only given today.  James tells us, “Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” 14 How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. 15 What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” 16 Otherwise you are boasting about your own plans, and all such boasting is evil.” (Jam 4:13-16 NLT)  Today is when we must respond and do everything given to us to be done. James goes on to say, “Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.” (Jam 4:17 NLT)  Paul tells us, “For He says, “At the acceptable time (the time of grace) I listened to you, And I helped you on the day of salvation.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation”—” (2Cor 6:2 AMP; see also Eph 5:15-17)
