箴言　28：20（新改訳JSS2017）　忠実な人は多くの祝福を得る。しかし、富を得ようと急ぐ者は罰を免れない。

忠実さは主なる神の特徴の一つです（申命記 32:4; 詩篇89：8など参照）。いつもどこでも、主に信頼することができます。忠実な方だから。この同じ特徴を私たちにも求められていて、神に対しても、隣人に対しても私たちの忠実さが求められます。神を愛し、人を愛するためには忠実さが要求されています。「多くの人は自分の親切を吹聴する。だれが忠実な人を見つけられるだろうか』（箴言20：6 JSS2017）。「私の目は　この国の忠実な人たちに注がれます。彼らが私とともに住むために。全き道を歩む者　その人は私に仕えます」（詩篇 101:6 JSS2017； 詩篇 112:4-9も参照）。イエスも、忠実なしもべについて教えました（ルカ 12:42; 16:10-12参照）。パウロも言いました。「管理者に要求されることは、忠実だと認められることです」（1コリント 4:2 JSS2017）。主は忠実さを必ず報われます（黙示録 2:10,12 参照）。

Pro 28:20 NIV84 A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.

Observation

Faithfulness is an attribute of God (see Deut 32:4; Psa 89:8).  We can always and ever trust him because he is faithful.  It is also a characteristic God seeks in us, both in our relationship with him and with others.  Love God, Love our neighbor requires that we are faithful and trustworthy in all our words and deeds.  “Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find?” (Pro 20:6 NIV) “My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me.” (Psa 101:6 NIV84; see also Psa 112:4-9 etc.) Jesus also gave examples of a faithful servant (see Luke 12:42; 16:10-12 etc.) Paul said, “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” (1Cor 4:2 NIV).  The Lord promises that faithfulness will be richly rewarded (see also Rev. 2:10,12).
