箴言 29:7 (口語訳)　 正しい人は貧しい者の訴えをかえりみる、悪しき人はそれを知ろうとはしない。

神は貧しい者、虐げられている者に対して大きな思いやりの心があります。それは正しい人々の文化の土台でもあるのです。イエスが来られた時にも言いました。「わたしの上に主の御霊がとどまっておられる。主は、貧しい人たちにこの福音（神の救いの知らせ）を伝えるために、わたしを任命された。主はわたしを遣わして、捕虜には解放を、盲人には視力の回復をお告げになる。踏みにじられている人を自由にし、主の恵みの年をお告げになる」（ルカ4：18-19 JCB）。山上の垂訓の最初は「心の貧しさを知る謙遜な人は幸いです。神の国はそういう人に与えられるからです」(マタイ5：3 JCB)。貧しい、虐げられている人に対する心は神に対する心をあらわします。「弱い者を虐げる者は自分の造り主をそしり、貧しい者をあわれむ者は造り主を敬う」(箴言、知恵の泉 14:31 JCB)。パウロも自分の心を明かしました。「貧しい人たちを援助することをいつも忘れないように、と言われましたが、そのことなら、私も熱心に努めてきたところです」（ガラテヤ2:10 JCB；2コリント9:9-11なども参照）。

Pro 29:7 (NIV84) The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.

(TPT) God’s righteous people will pour themselves out for the poor, but the ungodly make no attempt to understand or help the needy.

Observation

God has a heart for the poor. It is part of the foundation of a just and righteous people (see Exo 23:3,6,11 etc.).  When Jesus came he declared part of his mission was to the poor. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, freedom for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’” (Luke 4:18 TPT) The first beatitude he preached was, “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.” (Matt 5:3 NLT) How we see the poor and treat them is an indication of our heart for God. “Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors Him.” (Pro 14:31 NLT)  Paul explained his own heart, “Their only suggestion was that we keep on helping the poor, which I have always been eager to do.” (Gal 2:10 NLT; see also 2Cor 9:9-11)
