今日のことば

箴言31:8-9 （リビングバイブルJCB）　だれからも見放された人を守ってあげなさい。9正しい裁判をして、貧しい人や困っている人を助けてあげなさい。

（口語訳）あなたは黙っている人のために、すべてのみなしごの訴えのために、口を開くがよい。 9 口を開いて、正しいさばきを行い、貧しい者と乏しい者の訴えをただせ。

コメント

これは王様に対する忠告と助言のことばですが、わたくしたち神の国で、王として、祭司として召されている者です（1ペテロ 2:9; 黙示録1:6 など参照）。これは身寄りのない者、弱者、自分の訴えをことばにできないものなどのために、私たちが声をあげて、正しいさばきを、正義の判決をもたらされるように働き、工夫することを言っています。いわゆる、私たちの王であるイエスの心をあらわし、伝え、実現させるのです（マタイ25：31-46参照）。

Pro 31:8-9 NIV84  “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. 9 Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

Observation

This is advice given for kings, but we have been called to be kings and priests in the Kingdom of God (see 1Pet 2:9; Rev 1:6). There for this is advice and instruction for us.  “Speak for those who cannot speak for themselves…Speak up and judge fairly.” We are to defend the rights of the poor and needy and the rights of all who are destitute.  When we take the heart of our King Jesus, we will do just this (see Matt 25:31-46).
