マルコ 5:19-20 (新改訳JSS2017)　 彼にこう言われた。「あなたの家、あなたの家族のところに帰りなさい。そして、主があなたに、どんなに大きなことをしてくださったか、どんなにあわれんでくださったかを知らせなさい。」それで彼は立ち去り、イエスが自分にどれほど大きなことをしてくださったかを、デカポリス地方で言い広め始めた。人々はみな驚いた。

この男は汚れた霊の部隊（レギオン）から解放され、いやされました。彼は正気に戻り、あまりの感謝とありがたさのゆえに、イエスについて行くこと言いました。多くの場合イエスはいろいろな人にすべてを捨ててついてくるように言いました。ある者はついて行きましたが、他の者はついて行きませんでした。しかし、この方が願い出たとき、イエスは彼に自分の家や家族に戻り、彼らに、また多くの人に主がなしてくださったことを証し、伝えるようにと言いつけました。主がネブカデネザル王のためにすばらしい回復の働きをされたときに、彼は言いました。「いと高き神が私に行われたしるしと奇跡を知らせることは、私の喜びとするところである。そのしるしのなんと偉大なことよ。その奇跡のなんと力強いことよ。その国は永遠にわたる国、その主権は代々限りなく続く」（ダニエル 4:2-3 JSS2017）。イエスが解放された男が住んでいたデカポリスの周辺の町の人々は、イエスがなさったわざのゆえに、生活がひっくりかえされました（生活基盤の豚の群れがおぼれました）。そして、イエスに、自分たちのところから離れていくようにお願いしました。しかし、この人の証を聞いた後、イエスが再びこの地方に来られた時に、あの4000人の方を7つのパンと数匹の魚で養いました（マタイ15:32-38; マルコ 8:1-10 参照）。私たちの証によって、人々の心が開かれ、イエスに出会う準備をすることもあります。

Mark 5:19-20 TPT Jesus answered, “No,” but said to him, “Go back to your home and to your family and tell them what the Lord has done for you. Tell them how he had mercy on you.” 20 So the man left and went into the region of Jordan and parts of Syria to tell everyone he met about what Jesus had done for him, and all the people marveled! 

Observation

This man was delivered from a legion of unclean spirits. He was restored to his right mind and was so grateful that he wanted to follow Jesus.  Many times Jesus called different ones and told them to leave everything and follow him.  Some did and some didn’t.  But when this man begged to go with Jesus, Jesus instead told him to go back to his home and family and tell them about the wonderful things that Jesus had done for him. When God touched and restored King Nebuchadnezzar, he said, “I want you all to know about the miraculous signs and wonders the Most High God has performed for me. How great are His signs, how powerful His wonders! His kingdom will last forever, His rule through all generations.” (Dan 4:2-3 NLT).  The people in the region were afraid of Jesus and didn’t want him to disrupt their lives (live drowning all their pigs) and asked him to leave their region.  After this man went back and told the wonderful things Jesus had done for him, the next time Jesus visited this area was when he fed the 4000 (Matt 15:32-38; Mark 8:1-10).  Your testimony will open people’s hearts and prepare them to meet Jesus.
