マルコ 9:22-24 （新改訳JSS2017）　しかし、おできになるなら、私たちをあわれんでお助けください。」 23イエスは言われた。「できるなら、と言うのですか。信じる者には、どんなことでもできるのです。」 24するとすぐに、その子の父親は叫んで言った。「信じます。不信仰な私をお助けください。」

ある人が大きな必要を持って、イエスと弟子たちに助けを求めに来ました。弟子たちは彼を助けることができませんでした。彼はイエスに懇願して言いました。「おできになるなら、私たちをあわれんでお助けください。」明らかに必死でした。しかし、私たちの必死さが神を動かすのではなく、信仰です（神を信じて信頼することです。）イエスは彼に言いました。「信じる者には、どんなことでもできるのです。」へブル書では、「信仰がなければ、神に喜ばれることはできません。神のもとに来ようとする人はだれでも、神の存在と、熱心に神を求めれば神は必ず報いてくださることを、信じなければなりません」（へブル11:6 JCB）。また、イエスは別のところで言いました。「あなたがたは、信じて祈り求めるものは何でも受けることになります」（マタイ21:22 JSS2017）。お父さんの答えは見上げられたものでした。「信じます、信じますとも！　ああ、どうか不信仰な私をお助けください。」別訳では「私の不信仰を助けてください。」（少しばかりの信仰、信仰の足りないところを助けてください。）大きな、強い信仰があって初めて神のところに来ることができるのではなく、どんなに小さな信仰の一歩でも神に近寄るときに、神は助けてくださり、応答されます。神は私たちの信仰に答えられるお方です。

Mark 9:22-24 ESV But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” 23 And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

Observation

A man with a huge need has come to Jesus and his disciples for help.  The disciples have not been able to help him.  The man implores Jesus, “If you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” He is obviously desperate, but it is not desperation that moves God, it is faith, believing and trusting Him. Jesus response is “All things are possible for the one who believes.” Hebrews tells us, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Heb 11:6 ESV)  “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” (Mat 21:22 ESV) The father’s response is classic and a prayer we can pray when we come to Jesus. “I believe; help my unbelief!” (v. 24 ESV). God responds when we come to him in faith.
