今日のことば

マルコ 9:38-40（新改訳JSS2017）　ヨハネがイエスに言った。「先生。あなたの名によって悪霊を追い出している人を見たので、やめさせようとしました。その人が私たちについて来なかったからです。」39しかし、イエスは言われた。「やめさせてはいけません。わたしの名を唱えて力あるわざを行い、そのすぐ後に、わたしを悪く言える人はいません。40わたしたちに反対しない人は、わたしたちの味方です。

コメント

私たちはすぐに「私たちと彼ら」に分けてしまいやすいです。他の人たちが私たちと同じ考えや行動をするのを求めます。みんな私たちのチームの仲間入りをするように求めようとするのです。しかし、イエスは一番大事なのは神の国が前進されていることであると教えました。パウロは「党派心、分裂、分派」を肉の働きと指摘しました（ガラテヤ5:20参照）。これらは神の国の特徴ではないはずです。ともに協力できるところ、働けるところを見出すことが大切です（これは明らかに異端者であったり、神のみことばに反するものを含みません）。パウロはこのように言いました。「しかし、それが何だというのでしょう。見せかけであれ、真実であれ、あらゆる仕方でキリストが宣べ伝えられているのですから、私はそのことを喜んでいます。そうです。これからも喜ぶでしょう」（ピリピ 1:18 JSS2017）。イエスがこのように祈りました。「わたしは、ただこの人々のためだけでなく、彼らのことばによってわたしを信じる人々のためにも、お願いします。父よ。あなたがわたしのうちにおられ、わたしがあなたのうちにいるように、すべての人を一つにしてください。彼らもわたしたちのうちにいるようにしてください。あなたがわたしを遣わされたことを、世が信じるようになるためです」（ヨハネ17:20-21 JSS2017）。神の国の拡大のためにあらゆる協力を尽くしましょう。

Mar 9:38-40 TPT  John spoke up and said, “Teacher, we noticed someone was using your name to cast out demons, so we tried to stop him because he wasn’t one of our group.” 39 “Don’t stop him!” Jesus replied. “For the one who does miracles in the power of my name proves he is not my enemy. 40 And whoever is not against us is for us.

Observation

It is so easy to get into an “us and them” mentality.  We want everyone to be just like us and to think and act like us, everyone be on our team.  But Jesus said, the important thing is that they are working for the Kingdom of God.   Paul lists, self-ambition, divisions and dissensions, factions (party spirit) as works of the flesh that are destructive and not of God (see Gal 5:20).  Let’s seek common ground in our pursuit of the building Kingdom and work to cooperate wherever possible (this does not mean to work with those in obvious heresies). Paul said, “But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice.” (Phil 1:18 NIV84)  Jesus prayed, “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:20-21 NIV84)
