マルコ 11:9-10 （新改訳JSS2017）　そして、前を行く人たちも、後に続く人たちも叫んだ。「ホサナ。祝福あれ、主の御名によって来られる方に。祝福あれ、われらの父ダビデの、来たるべき国に。ホサナ、いと高き所に。」

これは詩篇118：25-26からの引用です。この箇所はユダヤ人によってよく賛美された歌（詩篇113-118）で、多分イエスが弟子たちと共に最後の晩餐の終わりに賛美された歌です（マタイ26：30参照）。人々は物質的な王国の現れを期待し、イエスこそがその王としてローマ占拠をくつがえすものとみられていました。しかし、これは神の計画でも、イエスのこの時の目的でもありませんでした。彼は完全に誤解されていました。しかし、天の御国の王としてこられていたのです（マタイ27：11； ヨハネ18：26-27参照）。ダニエルは預言しました。「この王たちの時代に、天の神は一つの国を起こされます。その国は永遠に滅ぼされることがなく、その国はほかの民に渡されず、反対にこれらの国々をことごとく打ち砕いて、滅ぼし尽くします。しかし、この国は永遠に続きます」（ダニエル2:44 JSS2017）。「この方に、主権と栄誉と国が与えられ、諸民族、諸国民、諸言語の者たちはみな、この方に仕えることになった。その主権は永遠の主権で、過ぎ去ることがなく、その国は滅びることがない」（ダニエル 7:14 JSS2017）。パウロはこの国をこのように説明しました。「神の国は．．．聖霊による義と平和と喜びだからです」（ローマ14：17 JSS2017）。コロサイ書ではさらに説明しています、「御父は、私たちを暗闇の力から救い出して、愛する御子のご支配の中に移してくださいました。この御子にあって、私たちは、贖い、すなわち罪の赦しを得ているのです」（コロサイ 1:13-14 JSS2017）。イエスがこのエルサレム凱旋をもって王として即位されましたが、それはこの世の物質的国ではなく、霊的な永遠の御国です。そしてその究極的実現はイエスの再臨（第七のラッパ）とともに現わされます（黙示録11:15参照）。ゆえに、彼らが喜び賛美するのは当然のことであり、正しいことでした。私たちもこの御国に入れられていることをともに喜び賛美すべきです。

Observation

This is a quote from Psalms 118:25-26. It was a part of a hymn sung by the Jews.  Most likely this is also the hymn (Psa 113-118) sung by Jesus and his disciples at the close of the last supper before leaving for Gethsemane (see Matt. 26:30).  The people were looking for a literal kingdom and had expectations that Jesus would be the “King” that overthrew the Roman occupation.  This was not God’s plan or design nor was it what Jesus was looking to accomplish at that time.  Though he was completely misunderstood, yet he was coming as a King of the heavenly kingdom (see Matt. 27:11; John 18:36-37) Daniel prophesied, “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.” (Dan 2:44 NIV84) “He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.” (Dan 7:14 NIV84)   Paul declared the Kingdom of God was characterized by “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” (Rom 14:17 NIV84)  In Colossians he further explains that Jesus has “rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Col 1:13-14 NIV84). So yes, Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem was the coronation of a King not of a natural kingdom, but of a spiritual everlasting kingdom which shall ultimately be fulfilled and completed at his second coming (at the seventh trumpet.) It was right for the people to rejoice.  And it is also right that we rejoice in the Kingdom which we have been made a part.
