マルコ 11:17（新改訳JSS2017）　そして、人々に教えて言われた。「『わたしの家は、あらゆる民の祈りの家と呼ばれる』　と書いてあるではないか。それなのに、おまえたちはそれを『強盗の巣』にしてしまった。」

コメント

イエスはイザヤ56:7を引用しています。「わたしの聖なる山に来させて、わたしの祈りの家で彼らを楽しませる。．．．なぜならわたしの家は、あらゆる民の祈りの家と呼ばれるからだ。」 しかし、ユダヤ人はこの神殿（主の家）が建てられた目的を忘れていました。それは人々を神に近づかせ、関係を持つための場所です。これは神の民であるユダヤ人（イスラエル人）のためだけではなく、全ての人々のためでした。神殿は献堂されたときにソロモンも祈ったことです。「同様に、あなたの民イスラエルの者でない異国人についても、その人があなたの御名のゆえに、遠方の地から来て、42彼らが、あなたの大いなる御名と力強い御手と伸ばされた御腕について聞き、やって来てこの宮に向かって祈るなら、43 あなたご自身が、あなたの御座が据えられた場所である天でこれを聞き、その異国人があなたに向かって願うことをすべて、かなえてください。そうすれば、地上のあらゆる民が御名を知り、あなたの民イスラエルと同じようにあなたを恐れるようになり、私が建てたこの宮で御名が呼び求められなければならないことを知るでしょう」（1列王記 8:41-43　JSS2017）。主の家は特別な特定の人だけが来ることができるところではなく、全ての人々が創造主と贖い主なる神に出会うための場所です。最終的に神はすべての国、部族、国語の人々が主の前で礼拝するようになります。「その後、私は見た。すると見よ。すべての国民、部族、民族、言語から、だれも数えきれないほどの大勢の群衆が御座の前と子羊の前に立ち、白い衣を身にまとい、手になつめ椰子の枝を持っていた。彼らは大声で叫んだ。「救いは、御座に着いておられる私たちの神と、子羊にある」（黙示録 7:9-10 JSS2017）。主の家は誰でも主に近づくことができるところとしましょう。

Mar 11:17  And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: “‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.'”

Observation

Jesus is quoting, Isaiah 56:7, “these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. …for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” But the Jews have forgotten the purpose of the temple (the house of God) was supposed to be a place to bring man and God into relationship, not only for God’s people, the Jews but for all people.  Even when the Temple was dedicated by Solomon, he prayed, “As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your name— 42 for men will hear of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm—when he comes and prays toward this temple, 43 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name.” (1Kings 8:41-43).  The House of the Lord is not just a place for special people but for all people to be able to reach out and approach the Lord.  Ultimately people from every nation, tribe and language will stand before the Lord to worship. “After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Rev 7:9-10 NIV84).  Let’s make the House of the Lord a place that anyone can come and draw close to the Lord.
