1列王記 1:43-47 「わが君、ダビデ王は、ソロモン様が次の王だと発表しました！44-45  しかも、ソロモン様をご自分の雌らばに乗せ、ギホンへ行かせたのです。祭司ツァドク、預言者ナタン、それにベナヤが同行し、王の護衛隊が警護に当たりました。ツァドクとナタンは、ソロモン様の頭に油を注いで、新しい王にしました。一行が戻って来たので、町中が喜びにわきかえっています。あの騒がしい物音をお聞きください。 46-47ソロモン様はすでに王座におつきです。国民はこぞってダビデ王に、『どうか神様が、あなたを豊かに祝福してくださった以上に、ソロモン様を祝福してくださるように。ソロモン王を、あなた以上に栄えさせてくださるように』とお祝いを申し上げています。王は床についたまま、人々の祝福のことばを受けておいでです。

コメント

一時的にアドニヤの王権横取り作戦が成功したかのように見えましたが、彼が仲間たちと不正な王権を祝っている間、ダビデ王が、ソロモンを選び、正しい後任として即位させれた知らせが届きました。正当な王が就任され、王座に着座されていたのです。これはまさに、キリストの即位をもさしています。サタンは自分こそが栄光の王を倒し、その王座を乗っ取ったと思いました。これは最初から彼の狙いでした（イザヤ14:13-14参照）。しかし、主なる神はその計画をキリストの復活をもって完全にくつがえしました（正しく立たせました）。パウロはこのように言いました。「また、信じる者を助ける神の力が、どれほど偉大であるかを知ることができますように。20-21この同じ偉大な力が、キリストを死者の中から復活させ、ほかのどんな王、支配者、権力者、指導者よりもはるかに高い、天の神の右の座につかせたのです。このキリストの栄誉は、この世だけでなく、次に来る世でも、他のすべてにはるかにまさって輝かしいものです。 22そして神は、すべてをキリストの足の下に従わせ、キリストを教会の最高のかしらとされました。 23ですから教会は、キリストの体であって、すべてを造り、すべてを満たすキリストの霊が満ちあふれるところです」（エペソ 1:19-23 JCB；詩篇24篇；黙示録 11:15など参照 ）。

1Ki 1:44-46  NLT The king sent him down to Gihon Spring with Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, protected by the king’s bodyguard. They had him ride on the king’s own mule, 45 and Zadok and Nathan have anointed him at Gihon Spring as the new king. They have just returned, and the whole city is celebrating and rejoicing. That’s what all the noise is about. 46 What’s more, Solomon is now sitting on the royal throne as king.

Observation

For a bit it looked like Adonijah was successful in usurping the throne, but while Adonijah is celebrating his illegitimate kingship with his supporters, word comes that David has chosen and set Solomon on the throne as his rightful heir.  The rightful King is now sitting on the throne.  This is a picture of Christ’s enthronement.  Satan thought he had successfully overthrown the King of Glory and established himself on the throne of God.  This was his aim all along (see Isa 14:13-14).  But the Lord God turned everything upside down (actually right side up) with the resurrection of Christ. “I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. 22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And the church is His body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with Himself.” (Eph 1:19-23 NLT; see also Psa 24; Rev 11:15)
