１列王記 4:1,2,7 （新改訳JSS2017）　こうして、ソロモン王は全イスラエルの王となった。

2彼の高官たちは次のとおり。ツァドクの子アザルヤは祭司、7ソロモンは、イスラエル全土に十二人の守護を置いた。彼らは王とその一族に食糧を納めた。一年に一か月分の食糧を各自が納めることになっていたのである。

コメント

ソロモンは賢く、知恵をもってイスラエルを治めました。彼自身非常に有能な人で多くのことができましたが、他に多くの人々をそれぞれの能力に応じて役割に立てて責任を割り当てて民政を行いました。パウロは教会のはたきも、体にたとえて、それぞれの役割と働きがあると示しています。「私は、自分に与えられた恵みによって、あなたがた一人ひとりに言います。思うべき限度を超えて思い上がってはいけません。むしろ、神が各自に分け与えてくださった信仰の量りに応じて、慎み深く考えなさい。一つのからだには多くの器官があり、しかも、すべての器官が同じ働きをしてはいないように、大勢いる私たちも、キリストにあって一つのからだであり、一人ひとりは互いに器官なのです」（ローマ12:3-5 JSS 2017; １コメント12:12-21も参照）。これがカギです。「自分を過大に評価してはいけません。神から与えられている信仰に応じて、慎み深くありなさい」（3節 JCB）。謙遜は自分を低く見下すことではなく、神が私たちを見られるように見ることです（２コリント 3:5参照）。私たち一人一人、働きと役割が与えられています。また、それを成し遂げるための能力と賜物も備えられています。与えられているものを用いて、おかれたところで忠実に働きましょう。

1Ki 4:1,2,7 NIV84  So King Solomon ruled over all Israel. 2  And these were his chief officials: Azariah son of Zadok—the priest;… 7  Solomon also had twelve district governors over all Israel, who supplied provisions for the king and the royal household. Each one had to provide supplies for one month in the year.

Observation

Solomon was wise also in how he governed all of Israel.  Even though he was a very gifted and talented man, he appointed and delegated others to be over the many aspects of civil governing of the nation according to their abilities.  Paul uses the illustration of the body to describe the various rolls and workings of the church. “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. 4 Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” (Rom 12:3-5 NIV84; see also 1Cor 12:12-21).  But here is the key, “Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.” (v.3 NLT).  Humility is not thinking less of yourself but, seeing yourself as God see you (see 2Cor 3:5). Each of us have been given tasks and responsibilities and the abilities to fulfill them accordingly.  Faithfully use the gifts God has given you in the place God has placed you.
