1列王記 7:48-49 （新改訳JSS2017）　また、ソロモンは主の宮にあるあらゆる物を作った。金の祭壇と、臨在のパンを載せる金の机、内殿の前、右側に五つ、左側に五つ置かれる純金の燭台、金の飾り花、ともしび皿、芯切りばさみを作った。

ソロモンは壮図な建築企画に取り組みましたが、神の神殿で始まりました。七年かかりました（1列王記6:38参照）。それから自分の宮殿を十三年かけて建てました。どちらも壮大な建物でした。しかし、細かいところまで見て完成させました。私たちの王イエスも私たちを主の宮として建て上げるという壮大な建築プロジェクトにかかっています。「あなたがた自身も生ける石として霊の家に築き上げられ、神に喜ばれる霊のいけにえをイエス・キリストを通して献げる、聖なる祭司となります」（1ペテロ2:5 JSS2107; エペソ 2:19-22も参照）。「このキリストにあって、建物の全体が組み合わされて成長し、主にある聖なる宮となります。あなたがたも、このキリストにあって、ともに築き上げられ、御霊によって神の御住まいとなるのです」（エペソ2:21-22 JSS2017）。ときに、相当な時間がかかって、もどかしく感じることもあるかもしれません。しかし、王なるイエスは宣言しました。「わたしはこの岩の上に、わたしの教会を建てます。よみの門もそれに打ち勝つことはできません」（マタイ16:18 JSS2017）。そして、主が始められた働きは必ず完成させます（ピリピ1:6参照）。これは個人的にもそうですが、神の宮なる教会の完成に関しても同じことが言えます。忍耐と信仰が必要です（へブル10:36参照）。完全な、傷もしみもないキリストの教会が必ず仕上げられます（エペソ5:27参照）。

1Ki 7:48-49 NIV84  Solomon also made all the furnishings that were in the LORD’s temple: the golden altar; the golden table on which was the bread of the Presence; 49 the lampstands of pure gold (five on the right and five on the left, in front of the inner sanctuary); the gold floral work and lamps and tongs.

Observation

Solomon’s ambitious building projects began with the Temple of the Lord, which took him 7 years to build (see 1Kings 6:38), and then 13 years to build his own palace (both were massive structures.) He paid attention to the smallest details and finally finished all the work. Our King Jesus is also in a grand building project to build us into a Temple of the Lord.  “You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1Pet 2:5 NIV84; see also Eph 2:19-22)  “In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” (Eph 2:21-22 NIV84) Some times it is easy to get impatient because the “building project” isn’t going as fast as we want it to.  King Jesus declared, “I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” (Matt 16:18 NIV84). And the work he began, he will bring to full completion (see Phil 1:6).  Although this is true for God’s work in us individually, it is also true for the whole body of Christ, of which we are each only a part.  Don’t give up on the church because it doesn’t seem to be what it should.  Jesus is going to complete his work. Just have patience (see Heb 10:36).  A great work takes a long time. He is coming for a complete and perfect church without spot or wrinkle (see Eph 5:27)
