１列王記 8:6,10-11（新改訳JSS2017）　祭司たちは、主の契約の箱を、定められた場所、すなわち神殿の内殿である至聖所のケルビムの翼の下に運び入れた。10祭司たちが聖所から出て来たとき、雲が主の宮に満ちた。11祭司たちは、その雲のために、立って仕えることができなかった。主の栄光が主の宮に満ちたからである。

コメント

契約の箱は神の臨在の宿り場として知られていました（詩篇80:1；99:1など参照）。主なる神が山でモーセに示された型に従って精密につくられました（出エジプト記 25:20-22参照）。ダビデはこの契約の箱のためにダビデの町シオンに天幕を張って、神の臨在を宿しました。そして、ソロモン王は神殿を建てて、契約の箱の最終安置の場所としました。これはもともと喜ばしい祝いの仮庵の祭りに合わせて行われました。また、これに合わせて、無数（数えきれないほど、多分何万匹の羊と家畜）をいけにえとしてささげました。この時に神の臨在があまりにも濃厚に、強く現れたので、祭司でさえ、神殿に入り、勤めをなすことができないほどでした。主は今、私たちの内にも住まわれると約束しております。「あなたがたは知らないのですか。あなたがたのからだは、あなたがたのうちにおられる、神から受けた聖霊の宮であり、あなたがたはもはや自分自身のものではありません」（1コリント6:19 JSS2017）。個人的に私たちの体も神の宮として神の臨在を宿すものですが、他の聖徒たちと共に組み合わされて、神の宮として神の臨在を宿すものです（エペソ5:18-19も参照）。神の臨在を宿す（運ぶ）ものであることを認識しましょう。

1Ki 8:6,10,11 NIV84  The priests then brought the ark of the LORD’s covenant to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, and put it beneath the wings of the cherubim. 10 When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the LORD. 11 And the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled his temple.

Observation

The Ark of the Covenant was the symbolic resting place of the presence of.  (see Psa 80:1; 99:1).  It was made by Moses upon the instruction of the Lord according to the pattern shown him in the mountain. (see Exo. 25:20-22).  David had pitched a tent in Zion just for the Ark of the Covenant, and now Solomon is bringing it to its final resting place in the Temple that Solomon built.  It was at the time of the Festival of Tabernacles (Shelters), which was a joyous occasion in itself.  They offered innumerable sacrifices of sheep and cattle (evidently in the tens of thousands).  The presence of the Lord God came down so strongly that even the priests were unable to stand before the Lord and minister.  God now promises to dwell in us with his presence. “Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own.” (!Cor 6:19 AMP)  Both collectively and individually we are the temple that house the presence of God.
