1列王記 22:21-23 （新改訳JSS2017）　ひとりの霊が進み出て、主の前に立ち、『この私が彼を惑わします』と言うと、主は彼に『どのようにやるのか』とお尋ねになりました。彼は答えました。『私が出て行って、彼のすべての預言者の口で偽りを言う霊となります。』主は『きっとあなたは惑わすことができる。出て行って、そのとおりにせよ』と言われました。今ご覧のとおり、主はここにいるあなたのすべての預言者の口に、偽りを言う霊を授けられました。主はあなたに下るわざわいを告げられたのです。」

もし真理を愛する心を持ち、真理の神を愛さなけれは、私たちは悪しき者の偽りにだまされてしまします。アハブは本当に悔い改めて、神に立ち返らなかったので、彼が偽りの霊にだまされて、彼は破滅に導き入れられました。パウロも私たちに警戒しています。「不法の者は、サタンの働きによって到来し、あらゆる力、偽りのしるしと不思議、10また、あらゆる悪の欺きをもって、滅びる者たちに臨みます。彼らが滅びるのは、自分を救う真理を愛をもって受け入れなかったからです。11それで神は、惑わす力を送られ、彼らは偽りを信じるようになります。12それは、真理を信じないで、不義を喜んでいたすべての者が、さばかれるようになるためです」（2テサロニケ 2:9-12 JSS2017）。カギは真理を愛することです。箴言にはこのように助言しています。「真理を買え。それを売ってはならない。知恵と訓戒と分別も」（箴言23:23 JSS2017）。イエスは言いました。「わたしは道であり、真理であり、いのちです」（ヨハネ14:6）。また、聖霊も真理の御霊と呼ばれています（ヨハネ14:17; 15:26; 16:13参照）。真理を求め、真理に満たされましょう。

1Ki 22:21-23 ESV  Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, saying, ‘I will entice him.’ 22 And the LORD said to him, ‘By what means?’ And he said, ‘I will go out, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And he said, ‘You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do so.’ 23 Now therefore behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; the LORD has declared disaster for you.”

Observation

If we do not have a love for the truth and the God of truth, we will be deceived by the lies and deception of the evil one.  Because Ahab refused to truly repent and turn his heart fully to the Lord, God allowed lying spirits to entice him into believing a lie.  This will lead to his final destruction.  Paul also warns us about this.  “The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”  2Th 2:9-12 ESV).  The key is to have a love for truth.  Proverbs says it this way, “Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding.” (Pro 23:23 ESV).  The closer we get to the end of times, the more important it will be to discern truth and falsehood. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”  Also the Holy Spirit is called, The Spirit of Truth (see John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13).  Let’s seek truth and be filled with truth.
