１ペテロ 4:12-13 （リビングバイブル JCB）　友よ！　驚くことはない！信仰が試されるような苦しみを今、この時に味わっていても驚かなくてよい。何か変なことが自分の身に起こっているのだと勝手に決めつけるのはよしなさい！ 13そんなことより、むしろキリストと同じ苦しみを味わっていることに感謝して喜ぶのだ！神の偉大な力がこの地上に現れるのだから、喜んで幸せでいられるだろう！

コメント

ペテロは火のような試練を通るときに驚くことはないと言っています。何か私たちに変なこと（思いがけない、ありえないはずのもの）が起こっているなんて思ってはいけない。ペテロはイエスから聞いた教えを繰り返しているだけです。「義のために迫害されている者は幸いです。天の御国はその人たちのものだからです。わたしのために人々があなたがたをののしり、迫害し、ありもしないことで悪口を浴びせるとき、あなたがたは幸いです。喜びなさい。大いに喜びなさい。天においてあなたがたの報いは大きいのですから。あなたがたより前にいた預言者たちを、人々は同じように迫害したのです」（マタイ5:10-12 JSS2017）。この時点でペテロ自身は多くの苦しみや試練を通されて、このように応答する機会がもすでに何回も経験したことでしょう。ペテロは続けて言っています。「もし今あなたが苦しんでいる理由が、神が望むことをしているということなら、人生を神にゆだねて信頼するべきだ！大丈夫！あなたを創った神以上に信頼できるものはいない。だから正しい事をし続け、進み続けるんだ！」（19節 ERV）。ダビデは多くの苦しみを通りました（あることは自分と何の関係もないはずのものでも、あるものは自分の行いの結果でした）。しかし、このように宣言しました。「自分のしようとすることをみな、主にゆだねなさい。信頼する者を、主は助けてくださいます」（詩篇 37:5 JCB）。自分が造りだした結果であっても、そうでなくても、困難な時を通ることは対やすいことではない。しかし、私たちが経験するすべてのことに、神は目的と計画があります。最も重要なのは私たちがいかに応答するかです。主に信頼すること、主を喜ぶことを教えられています。

1Pe 4:12-13 NLT  Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13 Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in His suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing His glory when it is revealed to all the world.

Observation

Peter tells us not to be surprised by fiery trials.  Don’t think this is something strange and unusual happening to you. He is repeating what he heard Jesus teach. “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matt 5:10-12 NIV84).  At this point Peter has probably also gone through many trials and sufferings and has had opportunity to respond this way.  He goes on to say, “So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for He will never fail you.” ( v.19 NLT) David, who suffered many things (both for no reason of his own, but also in things of his own making) say this also, “Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust Him, and He will help you.” (Psa 37:5 NLT). It is not easy to go through difficult times whether of our own making or regardless of ourselves.  But God has a purpose in everything that he allows us to experience.    The most important thing is how we respond.  Trust and Rejoice is what we are told to do.
