２ペテロ 2:19 （新改訳JSS2017）　その人たちに自由を約束しながら、自分自身は滅びの奴隷となっています。人は自分を打ち負かした人の奴隷となるのです。

（詳訳聖書）人には自由を約束するのですが、自分は堕落〈汚れ〉の奴隷なのです。人はだれでも、自分を下に敷く〈征服する〈負かす〉もの〔人また物〕の奴隷になるのです。

コメント

イエスが私たちに与える自由は、好き勝手にすることができる自由ではなく、正しいことを選んで実行する自由です。「キリストは、自由を得させるために私たちを解放してくださいました。ですから、あなたがたは堅く立って、再び奴隷のくびきを負わされないようにしなさい。13兄弟たち。あなたがたは自由を与えられるために召されたのです。ただ、その自由を肉の働く機会としないで、愛をもって互いに仕え合いなさい」（ガラテヤ5:1,13 JSS2017）。自分に罪を行う自由があると思い込んだら、実は、それによってまた罪の奴隷となるのです。イエスは言いました。「まことに、まことに、あなたがたに言います。罪を行っている者はみな、罪の奴隷です」（ヨハネ8:34 JSS2017）。しかし、イエスはこのようにも言われたのです。「あなたがたは、わたしのことばにとどまるなら、本当にわたしの弟子です。あなたがたは真理を知り、真理はあなたがたを自由にします」（ヨハネ8:31-32 JSS2017）。パウロはローマ書で言っています。「なぜなら、キリスト・イエスにあるいのちの御霊の律法が、罪と死の律法からあなたを解放したからです」（ローマ8:2 JSS2017）。問題は、私たちは正しい道（神の道）を選ぶか、悪の道（自分の道）を選ぶか自由ですが、自由を保ち続けるには常に正しい道を選ばなければなりません。

箴言も警告しています。「人の目にはまっすぐに見えるが、その終わりが死となる道がある」（箴言14:12 JSS2017）。

2Pe 2:19 ESV They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.

Observation

The freedom Jesus gives us is not the freedom to do whatever we want, but the freedom to do what is right.  “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. 13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” (Gal 5:1,13 ESV) When you think your freedom allows you to sin, it actually brings you back into bondage to that sin. Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.” (John 8:34 ESV).  Jesus also said, “”If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32 ESV) Paul said in Romans, “Because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.” (Rom 8:2 NLT)  The problem is we are free to choose the right way (God’s way) or the wrong way (my way), but we must continue to choose the right way if we want to stay free. Proverbs also warns, “There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.” (Prov 14:12 NLT)
