ホセア 2:8 （リビングバイブルJCB）　彼女は、持っているものはすべて、わたしが与えたものであることに気づかない。彼女の神バアルを拝むために使った金や銀も、全部わたしが与えたものだ。

イスラエルはホセアの妻ゴメル同様淫妻の道を好み、自分の食べ物、着物や富を積み上げようとしました。しかし、主はこれらのものは実に自分から与えられたものであると言いました。でも、彼女は遊女として愛人や偶像を求めて走りました。私たちが持っているものはすべて私たちの手のわざの結果であって、好き勝手に使うことができると思い込んでしまします。これは全く違います。主なる神こそ私たちのすべての良きものの源であります。「すべての良いもの、完全なものは、光を造られた神から来るのです」（ヤコブ1：17 JCB）。ダビデも認めました。「私たちが持っているものはすべてあなたが下さったもので、私たちはただ、それをお返ししているにすぎません」（１歴代誌 29:14 JCB）。パウロも言いました。「すべてのものは神から出て、神に生かされ、神の栄光のために存在しているからです。どうか、この神に栄光がとこしえにありますように」（ローマ11：36 JCB）。私たちがすべて持っているものは主から来ていることを常に覚えていなければなりません。　主なる神は私たちの父であり、羊飼いであり、備え主です。ゆえに、私たちが持っているものは自分の思い通りに好き勝手に使うことができるものではないことを忘れてはなりません。 「人は神のものを盗めるだろうか。できるわけがない。ところがあなたがたは、わたしのものを盗んでいる。『何のことですか。いつ神のものを盗みましたか。』　あなたがたは、わたしに納めるべき収入の十分の一と　ささげ物を盗んだ。10 収入の十分の一をすべて倉に携えて来なさい。そうすれば、わたしの神殿には食べ物が十分あるようになる。あなたがたが十分の一をささげれば、わたしはあなたがたのために天の窓を開いて、受け止めることができないほどの　祝福をあふれるばかりに注ごう。試してみなさい。わたしは、そのことを証明しよう」（マラキ 3:8,10 JCB）。私たちは主なる神が私たちに与えてくださるよりも、与えることはできません。主ご自身がすべての良きものの備え主であります。

Hos 2:8 NLT She doesn’t realize it was I who gave her everything she has—the grain, the new wine, the olive oil; I even gave her silver and gold. But she gave all My gifts to Baal.

Observation

Israel, just like Gomer, has run after prostitution to feed, clothe herself and gain riches, but the Lord says that even all of this actually came from Him.  But she continued to use everything she gained to prostitute herself to her lovers and worthless idols.  When we think everything we have is a result of our work or conniving, we think that we have a right to use it anyway we want.  Not true! Our Lord God is the source and giver of all good things.  “Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens.” (James 1:17 NLT).  David acknowledged it this way, “Everything we have has come from You, and we give You only what You first gave us!” (1Chro 29:14 NLT). Paul says, “For everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory. All glory to Him forever! Amen.” We need to acknowledge where everything we have comes from, The Lord God, Our Father, Shepherd and Provider.  And let’s not think what we have is our own to use in whatever way we want.  We are stewards of all that has been given to us. We acknowledge this by giving back to the Lord our tithes and offerings.  “Should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated Me! “But you ask, ‘What do You mean? When did we ever cheat You?’ “You have cheated Me of the tithes and offerings due to Me. 10  Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in My Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put Me to the test!” (Mal 3:8,10 NLT) We can never out give God.  And He alone is the giver of all good things.
