ホセア 14:1-2 （新改訳JSS2017）　イスラエルよ。あなたの神、主に立ち返れ。あなたは自分の不義につまずいたのだ。2あなたがたはことばを用意し、主に立ち返れ。主に言え。「すべての不義を赦し、良きものを受け入れてください。私たちは唇の果実をささげます。

コメント

これはホセアが伝えようとしていること。「イスラエルよ、あなたの神、主のところに帰りなさい」（JCB）。主なる神が願っていることであり、呼びかけていることです。問題はその罪（咎）です（神から離れて、主以外のものを追い求めること）。イザヤも言いました。「問題はあなたがたの罪です。罪があなたがたと神との断絶のもとなのです。罪のために、神は顔をそむけ、いっこうに聞こうとされません」（イザヤ59：2 JCB）。そして神が取り扱おうとしていることです。「わたし、このわたしは、わたし自身のためにあなたの背きの罪をぬぐい去り、もうあなたの罪を思い出さない。」（イザヤ43：25 JCB; イザヤ1:18も参照）。「わたしは、あなたの罪をすっかり消した。それは、昼になると朝もやが消えてなくなるように、影も形もなくなった。さあ、わたしのもとに帰って来なさい。あなたを自由にする代価は支払いずみだ」（イザヤ44:22 JCB）。そして、ホセアを通して約束しています。「その時、おまえたちの偶像礼拝と不信の罪をいやそう。わたしの愛は尽きることがない。わたしの怒りは永久に消え去った」（ホセア14:4 JCB）。これはイエスが地上に遣わされ、人となった目的です。主なる神は最初から、人間が罪を犯す前から計画をし、罪のためのいけにえを備え、私たちの罪を赦すだけではなく、きよめてくださるためです。バプテスマのヨハネは言いました。「見よ、世の罪を取り除く神の子羊」（ヨハネ1:29 JSS2017）。パウロはこのように言いました。「神は、罪を知らない方を私たちのために罪とされました。それは、私たちがこの方にあって神の義となるためです」（２コリント 5:21 JSS2017）。だから忘れてはいけません。「あなたがたのうちのある人たちは、以前はそのような者でした。しかし、主イエス・キリストの御名と私たちの神の御霊によって、あなたがたは洗われ、聖なる者とされ、義と認められたのです」（１コリント 6:11 JSS2017）。

Hos 14:1-2 NLT  Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God, for your sins have brought you down. 2 Bring your confessions, and return to the LORD. Say to Him, “Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer You our praises.

Observation

This is the call of Hosea’s prophecy: “Return, O Israel to the Lord your God.”  This is what God desires and is calling for.  The problem is her (our) sin (in turning away from the Lord and seeking everything else other than the Lord.)  “It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, He has turned away and will not listen anymore.” (Isa 59:2 NLT)  But that is exactly what God is dealing with. “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” (Isa 43:25 NIV84; see Isa 1:18 etc.).  “I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Oh, return to Me, for I have paid the price to set you free.” (Isa 44:22 NLT).  God promises, “Then I will heal you of your faithlessness; My love will know no bounds, for My anger will be gone forever.” (Hos 14:4 NLT).  This was why Jesus came to earth and became a man.  The Lord had a plan from the beginning even before man sinned, He knew he would provide a sin sacrifice that would not only forgive, but cleanse us from all sin. John the Baptist said of Jesus, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29 NIV84). Paul said it this way, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2Cor 5:21 NIV84).  Remember, “And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1Cor 6:11 NIV84).
