詩篇 66:1-2 （リビングバイブルJCB）　全地よ。主に向かって歌声を上げ、栄光に輝く神を賛美しなさい。世界中の人に、神のすばらしさを伝えなさい。

神はもっとも栄光に満ちた、尊厳、威光のある方ですが、私たちはその栄光をさらに輝かせるようにと指示されています。「賛美を持って栄光を輝かせよ。」「栄光に輝く神を賛美しなさい。世界中の人に、神のすばらしさを伝えなさい。」また、英語の別訳では、「受けるべき尊厳を神に帰しなさい」とも訳されています。すでに栄光ある方にさらに栄光を与えることができるでしょうか？私たちの賛美の歌や叫びによって、神に栄光を増し加えることができるのです。そしてさらに、国々の人々にその栄光と尊厳を広めなければなりません。世界中に神の輝かしい栄光と尊厳を伝えなければなりません。神がなされた素晴らしいわざを思い起こし神に感謝しほめたたえることによって栄光を返すのです。さらに、すべての人々にも神の素晴らしさ、栄光輝く偉大さを証しし、語り継げるときにも神に栄光を返すのです。主なる神に、「あなたの御業と働きはすばらしい」宣言し、人々には「神が我らのためになされた素晴らし御業を来て見なさい。聞いてください。」と語るのです。ここで詩人は「さあ、神がどんなにすばらしいことをなさったかをごらんなさい。神の民は、驚くべき奇跡を体験するのです。神は、海の中に乾いた道を与えてくださいました。人々はそこを踏みしめて渡りました」（5-6節 JCB、紅海を渡されて奇跡を証しました）。主はあなたのために何をされましたか？誰にその素晴らしい御業を証しすることができますか？

Psa 66:2 (NIV84)  Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!

(NLT) Sing about the glory of His name! Tell the world how glorious He is.
(TS2009) Sing out the splendour of His Name; Make His praise esteemed. 

(MSG) Sing songs to the tune of his glory, set glory to the rhythms of his praise.
(NET) Sing praises about the majesty of his reputation! Give him the honor he deserves! 

Observation

God is most glorious, full of glory and majesty but we are told to “make his praise glorious” or “make his praise esteemed”, or “Give him the honor he deserves.” How can we give God more glory than he already has?  Singing and shouting our praises to him adds to and increases the glory.  But even more important we share or spread his glory among others, the people of the world.  NLT says “Tell the world how glorious HE is.”  We do this by honoring and celebrating what he has done. First by declaring back to God how great and wonderful He is and what he has done, “Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!” But then by also telling others, “Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man’s behalf.” The Psalmist remembers and declares one of his mighty miracles, “He turned the sea into dry land, they passed through the waters…” What has the Lord done for you?  Who can you tell someone today about his wonderful works he has already done?
