詩篇 66:8,16（リビングバイブルJCB）　8すべての人よ、神をほめたたえ、賛美の歌を歌いなさい。16さあ、神を敬う人よ、こちらに来て聞きなさい。神のなさったさまざまなことをお話ししましょう。

この詩篇は神が祈りを聞かれ、賛美を宣言しているものです。問題のただ中で神に叫び求めて祈り、神に答えてくださるようにと求める時に、神は必ず祈りを聞かれ答えられます。その時、神に感謝をささげ、他の人々に主が私たちのためになされたことを証しし、言い広めなければなりません。これこそ、神を賛美し、神に栄光を返すことです。しかし、神は祈りを聞かれる神であり、答えられる神であることを知っているので、その祈るのときにも、共に感謝をささげるべきです。「私は、この口で助けてくださいと叫び、この舌で神をほめたたえてきました」（17節 JCB）。パウロはこのように言いました。「すべての人のために、神のあわれみが注がれるよう熱心に祈り、とりなしなさい。そして、やがて彼らにも恵みが与えられると信じて、感謝しなさい」（1テモテ2:1 JCB）。神に感謝をささげ、他の人々に主がなされたことを語る（証しする）ことによって、主が祈りを聞かれたことを賛美し、栄光を返すのです。この詩の締めくくりはこうです。「しかし、神は身を乗り出すようにして、私の祈りを聞き届けてくださいました。祈りの声を退けず、恵みと愛を　豊かに注いでくださった神をほめたたえます」（19-20節 JCB）。主は祈りを聞かれる神であり、私たちのためにすばらしいことをなされたことを誰かに伝えましょう。

Psa 66:8  Praise our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard; 16  Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.

Observation

This is a praise to God for answering prayer. When we are in the midst of trouble and cry out to God to answer our prayer, He always hears us and answers prayer.  We must always remember to give thanks and tell others of the good things he has done for us. This is how we praise and glorify Him. But because we know he hears and answers prayer, we should also praise him when we bring our prayers to him. “For I cried out to Him for help, praising Him as I spoke.” (v.17 NLT) Paul said it this way, “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.” (1Tim 2:1 NLT).  Giving thanks to God and telling others about what he has done for us is the way which we can praise and glorify the Lord our God who answers our prayers.  This Psalm ends this way, “But praises rise to God, for he paid attention to my prayer and answered my cry to him! 20 I will forever praise this God who didn’t close his heart when I prayed and never said no when I asked him for help. He never once refused to show me his tender love.” (v. 19-20 TPT).  We must tell someone of the wonderful things the Lord has done for us.
