詩篇 67:1-3（リビングバイブルJCB）　ああ神よ。私たちをあわれんで祝福してください。私たちをごらんになるとき、あなたの御顔が喜びにほころびますように。2私たちを世界に送り出し、神の救いの力と全人類への永遠のご計画とを　知らせて回らせてください。3どの国の人々も、心から主をほめたたえるでしょう。

この詩篇は神がご自分の民を祝福し、全世界に神の祝福を流す心をあらわするものです。これは主がアブラハムに与えた約束を響かせるこだまです。「わたしは…あなたを祝福し…あなたは祝福となる…地のすべての部族は、あなたによって祝福される」（創世記12:2-3 JSS2017）。神の祝福は私たちを心地よくし、裕福に暮らすためのものではなく、受けた祝福を流し、神の福福、恵み、いつくしみを人々に示し、知らせるためです。私たちは祝福となるために、祝福されます。神の祝福は私たちが何者かであるからではないことを忘れてはなりません。私たちに霊的な祝福、物質的な祝福を与えるのは主なる神ご自身です。「それは、アブラハムへの祝福がキリスト・イエスによって異邦人に及び、私たちが信仰によって約束の御霊を受けるようになるためでした」（ガラテヤ 3:14 JSS2017）。「私たちの主イエス・キリストの父である神がほめたたえられますように。神はキリストにあって、天上にあるすべての霊的祝福をもって私たちを祝福してくださいました」（エペソ 1:3 JSS2017）。

Pause in his presence 2 Send us out all over the world so that everyone everywhere will discover your ways and know who you are and see your power to save. 3 Let all the nations burst forth with praise; let everyone everywhere love and enjoy you! 
(NIV84) May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, Selah  2 that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. 3 May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.

Observation

This Psalm expresses the heart of God to bless his people and make them a blessing to all the earth.  It is an echo of the Lord’s promise to Abraham, “I will bless you… and you will be a blessing… and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Gen 12:2-3 NIV84).  The purpose of God’s blessing is not to make us comfortable and live in affluence but to be able to share the blessings and to bring people to see and know the goodness, graciousness and blessing of God for themselves.  We are blessed to be a blessing.  We must never forget though that the blessing is not because of ourselves.  The Lord is the one who because of his mercy, graciously blesses us with all things both spiritually and materially.  “He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.” (Gal 3:14 NIV84).  “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” (Eph 1:3 NIV84).  Let us be a blessing just as He has blessed us.
