詩篇 69:30-31（新改訳JSS2017）歌をもって　私は神の御名をほめたたえ感謝をもって　私は神をあがめます。それは　雄牛にまさって主に喜ばれます。角が生え　ひづめが割れた若い牛にまさって。

(JCB) そうすれば、感謝を込めて あなたをほめたたえることができます。31それは、いけにえの雄牛や若い雄牛以上に、主に喜ばれるでしょう。

私たちはいけにえとささげものをもっと神をあがめ敬わなければなりませんが、最も高価ないけにえは賛美のいけにえです。特に困難や暗い、難しい状況の中で、すべてが逆境と感じるきに賛美をすべきです。この詩篇の最初にはダビデは沈みそうで、攻撃や拒絶によって圧倒され、負われそうになって、言っています。「私は深い泥沼に沈み　足がかりもありません。私は大水の底に陥り　奔流が私を押し流しています」（詩篇69:2 JSS2017）。でも、彼の最終的応答は、「私は歌で表現する　神の名前を賛美する感謝を捧げて敬意もち　神を讃えて賛美する」(ERV)。そしてこの賛美こそどんな犠牲よりも、いけにえよりもまさっていると言っています。私たちの賛美は神ほめたたえ、どんな状況の中にあっても主なる神を信頼することを宣言します。いかなる境遇の中にあっても、賛美は最も偉大な力あるものです（エペソ5:19-20； ヘブル 13:15-16など参照）。別の詩篇でダビデは宣言しました。「私は、ただひたすら主の助けを待ち望みました。すると、その願いは聞かれたのです。2あなたは絶望の穴から、どろどろのぬかるみから引き上げて、踏み固めた道に下ろし、しっかり歩けるようにしてくださいました。3主は私の口に、新しい賛美の歌を授けてくださいました。私があなたに、どれほどすばらしいことを　していただいたかを知って、大ぜいの人が敬虔な心で神を敬い、信頼するようになるでしょう」（詩篇40:1-3 JCB）。

Psa 69:30-31,34 TPT  Then my song will be a burst of praise to you. My glory-shouts will make your fame even more glorious to all who hear my praises! 31 For I know, Yahweh, that my praises mean more to you than all my gifts and sacrifices. 34  Let all the universe praise him! The high heavens and everyone on earth, praise him! Let the oceans deep, with everything in them, keep it up! 

Observation

We are to honor God with our sacrifices and offerings but the highest sacrifice is the sacrifice of praise, especially in the midst of difficulty or dark times when everything seems to be going against us.  The first part of this Psalms David says that he feels that he is drowning  and overwhelmed by accusations and rejections by even those he thought were close. He says “I sink into the mire; I can’t find a foothold” (NLT).  But his ultimate response is “I will praise God’s name with singing, and I will honor him with thanksgiving.” Then he states that this sacrifice of praise is even more pleasing to the Lord than great sacrifice.  Our praise to the Lord declares who he is and that we trust in him no matter what the circumstances.  Praise is a most powerful dynamic to raise us above our situations (Eph 5:19-20; Heb 13:15-16). In another Psalm David says, “I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.” (Psa 40:1-3 NIV84)
