黙示録 2:18-19 （新改訳JSS2017）　また、ティアティラにある教会の御使いに書き送れ。『燃える炎のような目を持ち、その足は光り輝く真鍮のような神の子が、こう言われる──。わたしは、あなたの行い、あなたの愛と信仰と奉仕と忍耐を知っている。また、初めの行いにまさる、近ごろの行いも知っている。

コメント

主の目は燃える炎のようなものです。現在語ではレーザー線のような目といってもいいでしょう。主の目から隠されていることは何もありません。すべてお見通しであり、すべてを取り扱われるお方です。「主の目」という表現は最初にみことばでつかわれたのはノアに関してです。「ノアは主の心にかなっていた。」とありますが、原語では「主の目にかなっていた」となっています。神は悪だけではなく、膳をもすべて目にとめられます。「主の目はどこにもあり、悪人と善人を見張っている」（箴言 15:3 JSS2017）。神の目から隠されたことは何一つなく、すべてがいずれあばかれます。「おおわれているもので現されないものはなく、隠されているもので知られずにすむものはないからです」（マタイ10:26 JSS2017）。ですからダビデは祈りました。「神よ　私を探り　私の心を知ってください。私を調べ　私の思い煩いを知ってください。私のうちに　傷のついた道があるかないかを見て　私をとこしえの道に導いてください」（詩篇139:23-24 JSS2017）。主のレーザー線の目が私たちの隅々まで見られ、取り扱われるべきこと、取り除かれるべきことを見られますように願いましょう。「自分の背きを隠す者は成功しない。告白して捨てる者はあわれみを受ける。幸いなことよ、いつも恐れる心を持つ人は。しかし、心を頑なにする者はわざわいに陥る」（箴言28:13-14 JSS2017）。

Rev 2:18-19 NIV84  “To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.”

Observation

The eyes of the Lord are like blazing fire (see also Rev 19:12).  We might say today, they are like a Lazer beam.  There is nothing hidden from the Lord that he does not see and that he will not deal with.  The first mention of “eyes of the Lord” are in reference to Noah. “But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.” (Gen 6:8 NIV84).  God not only see evil but also good.  “The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.” (Pro 15:3 NIV84).  There is nothing that is hidden that the Lord does not see and that will eventually be revealed. “There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.” (Matt 10:26 NIV84)  That is why David prayed, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psa 139:23 NIV84).  Let the Lazer eyes of the Lord pinpoint anything that needs to be dealt with and removed from our lives.  “He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. 14 Blessed is the man who always fears the LORD, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble.” (Pro 28:13-14 NIV84)
