黙示録 8:3-4 （新改訳JSS2017）　また、別の御使いが来て、金の香炉を持って祭壇のそばに立った。すると、たくさんの香が彼に与えられた。すべての聖徒たちの祈りに添えて、御座の前にある金の祭壇の上で献げるためであった。香の煙は、聖徒たちの祈りとともに、御使いの手から神の御前に立ち上った。

コメント

第七の封印が解かれると、天においてすべてが静まりました。イベントが開始される前に会場のざわざわが、シーンとなるような状況です。この静けさの中で、神の民の祈りが御座の前に立ち上っています。私たちの祈りは地上における神の働きとさばきに欠かせないものです。御使いは香の入った金の鉢をもって神の御座に近づきます。これは私たちの祈りを象徴するのです（詩篇141:2参照）。しかし、御使いにはさらにたくさんの香が与えられ、その鉢に加えられ、神の御座の前に香が満室しました。私たちの祈りは累積しついに満ちるのです。それから、その鉢は地上に投げつけられ、「雷鳴と声がとどろき、稲妻がひらめき、地震が起こった」（5節参照）。私たちの祈りは効果の弱いものとか、無効なものと決して思ってはいけません。神は必ず私たちの祈りに答えて、地上で物事が起こり始まるのです。何が起こっているのか、どうなっているのかが分からなくても、神はご自身の働きとさばきを実行するのです。そして、必ず御心と目的が完成するのです（黙示録11:15; 12:10など参照）。神はご自分の民の祈りに必ず答えられます。天の金の鉢を私たちの祈りで満たしましょう。

Rev 8:3-4 NLT  Then another angel with a gold incense burner came and stood at the altar. And a great amount of incense was given to him to mix with the prayers of God’s people as an offering on the gold altar before the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, mixed with the prayers of God’s holy people, ascended up to God from the altar where the angel had poured them out.

Observation

The seventh seal is opened, and heaven is silent for about a half an hour.  As in an auditorium before an event commences there is much commotion and buzz, but then everything goes silent waiting for the event to begin.  In the midst of this silence the prayers of God’s people ascend to Him before the throne.  Our prayers are vital to God’s work and judgements here on earth.  The angel came with a golden censer symbolizing our prayers which scripture says is like incense (see Psa 141:2).  But the angel is “given much incense” to add to the prayers of the saints. Our prayers are cumulative and have been kept in a censer before the throne, but much incense is added to it and as it ascends to our God on the throne.  Then the censer is hurled to the earth which causes “peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.”  Never think your prayers are ineffectual.  When God responds to our prayers things begin to happen on earth.  We may not understand what and how God is working but he is working to accomplish his plan and purposes, which do include judgment on evil and wickedness on the earth but also bring everything to full consummation of his original plans and purposes (see Rev 11:15; 12:10).  God works in response to the prayers of his people. Let’s fill the censers with our prayers.
