黙示録 22:7,12-13,16,20 （新改訳JSS2017） 「見よ、わたしはすぐに来る。この書の預言のことばを守る者は幸いである。」 12「見よ、わたしはすぐに来る。それぞれの行いに応じて報いるために、わたしは報いを携えて来る。13わたしはアルファであり、オメガである。最初であり、最後である。初めであり、終わりである。」 16 「わたしイエスは御使いを遣わし、諸教会について、これらのことをあなたがたに証しした。わたしはダビデの根、また子孫、輝く明けの明星である。」 20これらのことを証しする方が言われる。「しかり、わたしはすぐに来る。」アーメン。主イエスよ、来てください。

コメント

これはイエスの最後の記録されたことばです。三回繰り返して言われました。「わたしはすぐに来る」。これは宣言だけではなく、約束です！旧約聖書にこのように書いてあります。「神は人ではないから、偽りを言うことがない。人の子ではないから、悔いることがない。神が仰せられたら、実行されないだろうか。語られたら、成し遂げられないだろうか。見よ、私は、祝福せよとの命を受けた。神が祝福されたのだ。私はそれをくつがえすことはできない」（民数記 23:19-20 JSS2017）。主のことばは真実で信頼できるものです。そして、私たちは忘れてはならないことが思いおこさせられています。「ですから、あなたがたの確信を投げ捨ててはいけません。その確信には大きな報いがあります。あなたがたが神のみこころを行って、約束のものを手に入れるために必要なのは、忍耐です。「もうしばらくすれば、来たるべき方が来られる。遅れることはない。わたしの義人は信仰によって生きる」」（へブル 10:35-38 JSS2017）。ゆえに私たちは信じて、堅く立って、告白します。「アーメン。主イエスよ。来てください （マラナタ！）。

Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” 12 “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” 16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

Observation

These are the final recorded words of Jesus.  He repeats three times, “I am coming soon.”  This is not only a declaration but his promise.  The OT declares, “God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?  Behold, I received a command to bless: he has blessed, and I cannot revoke it.” (Num 23:19-20 ESV).  His word is true and trustworthy.  Also we are reminded that, “Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. For, “Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay;  but my righteous one shall live by faith.” (Heb 10:36-28 ESV).  That is why we believe, stand firm and say, “Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! (Maranatha!)
