今日のことば

ヨハネ1:1,3,4 （新改訳 JSS2017）　初めにことばがあった。ことばは神とともにあった。ことばは神であった。3 すべてのものは、この方によって造られた。造られたもので、この方によらずにできたものは一つもなかった。4 この方にはいのちがあった。このいのちは人の光であった。

コメント

これが（永遠に存在する神以外の）すべてのものの始まりです。創造は神のことば「…あれ」で始まり、存在しました（創世記 1章参照）。神のことばは創造的だけではなく、いのちを与え、いやし、完全さ、シャローム、希望も与えてくださいます。かみのことばは全能的で力あるものです。「神のことばは生きていて、力があり、両刃の剣よりも鋭く、たましいと霊、関節と骨髄を分けるまでに刺し貫き、心の思いやはかりごとを見分けることができます。神の御前にあらわでない被造物はありません。神の目にはすべてが裸であり、さらけ出されています。この神に対して、私たちは申し開きをするのです」（へブル 4:12-13 JSS2017）。また、「神は人ではないから、偽りを言うことがない。人の子ではないから、悔いることがない。神が仰せられたら、実行されないだろうか。語られたら、成し遂げられないだろうか。見よ、私は、祝福せよとの命を受けた。神が祝福されたのだ。私はそれをくつがえすことはできない」（民数記 23:19-20 JSS2017）。今年、心の目と耳を開いて、神のことばを聞き、受け入れましょう。そして、神のことばによって、その創造的力といのちと、シャローム（平和、平安）と、希望を受け入れましょう。今年神のことばを読みましょう。

John 1:1,3,4 (ERRB) In the beginning was * the Word, and the Word was * with God Elohim, and the Word was God Elohim was* the Word.  3 All things were made by became through him; and without apart from him was not any thing made naught became that was made became. In him was life; and the life was the light of men humanity.

Observation

This is the beginning of all things that exist apart from God (who is eternal himself).  Creation begins with the Word of God, “Let there be…” and there was (see Gen 1).  God’s word is not only creative, it gives life, healing, wholeness, peace, and hope.  The Word of God is powerful. “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the One to whom we are accountable.” (Heb 4:12-13 NLT)  “God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? Behold, I received a command to bless: he has blessed, and I cannot revoke it.” (Num 23:19-20 ESV).  Let’s open our eyes and ears to the Word of the Lord and receive his creative power, life, peace and hope from his Word. Read the Word of God this year.
