ヨハネ 4:10 （新改訳JSS2017）　イエスは答えられた。「もしあなたが神の賜物を知り、また、水を飲ませてくださいとあなたに言っているのがだれなのかを知っていたら、あなたのほうからその人に求めていたでしょう。そして、その人はあなたに生ける水を与えたことでしょう。」

コメント

神ご自身が生ける水の源であります。その川と水はみことばを通して見られます。最初にこの川が見られるのはエデンの園から流れる川を神が設けられた時です（創世記 2:8-14参照）。この川は詩篇の中で、神の都の川とも呼ばれています（詩篇46:4参照）。イザヤは「救いの泉」とも呼んでいます（イザヤ12:3参照）。エゼキエルはこの川が神殿から流れ出て、死海まで流れて、その水を癒すと言ってます。「この川が入るところでは、すべてのものが生きる」（エゼキエル 47:8; 1-9参照）。ゼカリヤはこれを「罪と汚れをきよめる一つの泉」と呼んでいます（エゼキエル 13:1; 14:8参照）。最後に新天新地で見られます。「御使いはまた、水晶のように輝く、いのちの水の川を私に見せた。川は神と子羊の御座から出て、都の大通りの中央を流れていた。こちら側にも、あちら側にも、十二の実をならせるいのちの木があって、毎月一つの実を結んでいた。その木の葉は諸国の民を癒やした」（黙示録 22:1-2 JSS2017）。イエスはこの水をまず井戸のそばでサマリヤの女に指しあげました。しかし、またすべての人に与えると約束しました。「さて、祭りの終わりの大いなる日に、イエスは立ち上がり、大きな声で言われた。「だれでも渇いているなら、わたしのもとに来て飲みなさい。わたしを信じる者は、聖書が言っているとおり、その人の心の奥底から、生ける水の川が流れ出るようになります」（ヨハネ 7:37-38 JSS2017）。このいのちの川に触れられましょう。このいのちの水を飲みましょう。そして、この水が泉となり私たちから沸き上がりすべて渇いている人々に流れるようにしましょう。

Observation

God himself is the source of Living Water and it is seen throughout Scripture.  We first see that God created a river that flowed out of Eden to water the whole earth (see Gen 2:8-14). This river is referred to in Psalms as the river of the City of God (see Psa 46:4). Isaiah calls it the “Wells of Salvation (see Isa 12:3). Ezekiel saw this river flowing out of the temple and said that it would flow into the Dead Sea and even heal its waters and “everything will live where the river goes.”  (see Ezek. 47:1-9).  Zechariah calls it a fountain that cleanses from all uncleanness and sin (see Zec 13:1; 14:8).  Finally, we see it in the New Heavens and New Earth, “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” (Rev 22:1-2 ESV).  Jesus first offers this living water to the Samaritan woman at the well but later says, “”If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'” (John 7:37-38 ESV).  Let’s let the water of the River of Life touch us; let’s drink from the water of Life and then let it flow up and out of us to all who are thirsty.
