ヨハネ 13:26,27,30(新改訳JSS2017)　 イエスは答えられた。「わたしがパン切れを浸して与える者が、その人です。」それからイエスはパン切れを浸して取り、イスカリオテのシモンの子ユダに与えられた。27ユダがパン切れを受け取ると、そのとき、サタンが彼に入った。すると、イエスは彼に言われた。「あなたがしようとしていることを、すぐしなさい。」30ユダはパン切れを受けると、すぐに出て行った。時は夜であった。

コメント

この会話はイエスとヨハネの間のプライベートな話であったようです。ヨハネはイエスにたずねました。「主よ、それはだれのことですか。」そして、イエスはヨハネに答えました。「わたしがパン切れを浸して与える者が、その人です。」ユダはこの話を理解していたのかはわかりませんが、イエスからその交わりのパンを受け取ってことがきっかけとなって、サタンがユダに入ったとあります。そして、彼はイエスを裏切る最終行為に踏み切りました。その時までに、何回も、悔い改め、方向転換する機会があったでしょう。しかし、それを無視して、自分勝手な道を離れることなく、悪性の極みの計画にしま突進した。イエスをメシアとして、救い主として、拒絶し自分の滅びの道に陥りました。パウロは聖餐式について教えている中で、促しています。「だれでも、自分自身を吟味して、そのうえでパンを食べ、杯を飲みなさい」（1コリント11:28 JSS2017）。外見的には、ユダはイエスの弟子の一人でした、また、最後の晩餐の席でイエスの近くに座られていたようです。他の弟子たちはまったく彼を疑うようなことはなかったようです。でも、彼自身は自分の心にあることを知っていました。彼はイエスを拒み、お金のためにイエスとその大いなる救いを捨ててしましました。ダビデも祈りました。「ああ神よ。私の心を探り、内面を調べ上げてください。あなたを悲しませるようなものがあるなら、教えてください」（詩篇 139:23-24 JCB）。

Joh 13:26,27,30 ESV  Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 Then after he had taken the morsel, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.” 30 So, after receiving the morsel of bread, he immediately went out. And it was night.

Observation

The conversation between Jesus and John seems to have been private. John asks Jesus, “Lord, who is it?” Jesus answer to John was, “It is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread when I have dipped it.”  Only John seems to have understood what Jesus indicated.  Whether Judas understood the act of taking the piece of bread from Jesus, it seems to be the trigger, and point at which satan finally entered and caused him to go through with his diabolical plan to betray Jesus.  There seems to have been multiple points at which Judas could have stopped his slid into his destruction but he ignored them, rejecting Jesus as the Messiah and Savior not only for the world but for him.  Paul, in teaching about the Communion meal, exhorts us, “Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.” On the outward, Judas was a disciple of Jesus, evidently sitting very close to Jesus at the Last Supper.  None of the other disciples suspected Judas of being the one who would betray Jesus.  Yet, he knew in his heart what he was about to do.  He chose to reject Jesus and his great salvation money which ultimately led to his destruction.  David prayed, “God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares.” (Psalms 139:23 TPT)
