ヨハネ16:33（リビングバイブルJCB）　「あなたがたも心配しないで、安心していなさい。こんなにも念には念を入れて話したのは、そのためなのですから。確かに、この世では苦難と悲しみが山ほどあります。しかし、元気を出しなさい。わたしはすでに世に勝ったのです。」

コメント

イエスは弟子たちに多くのことを語り、ご自分について、その使命について説明して理解させようとしました。その壮大さをつかめきれなくても、少しわかり始めました。しかし、この理解こそ彼らを支え、今から起こるすべての問題と困難の中を通らせてくれるのです。イエスは明確に語りました（27‐28節参照）。そして弟子たちは「今、はっきりとわかりました」と言いました。しかし、この先ですべてがひっくり返されて、何がなんであるかをつかみきれないところに追い込まれたときに、この真実は彼らに通り抜けることができる力を与えました。最終的によみがえりのイエスに出会った時、それから彼らの信仰を何も揺らぐものはありませんでした。パウロはこのようにも言っています。「何事も心配しないで、どんな時でも神に祈りなさい。そして、祈りに答えてくださる神に感謝しましょう。 そうすれば、人間の理解をはるかに超えた、すばらしい神の平安を経験します。キリスト・イエスにあって、その平安はあなたがたの心と思いを静め、安らかにしてくれるのです」（ピリピ 4:6-7 JCB; コロサイ3:15; イザヤ 26:3なども参照）。

Joh 16:33 (NLT) I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

(TPT) And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!” 

Observation

Jesus has explained many things to the disciples to help them understand who he is and what his mission is.  Though they still do not fully understand, they are now beginning to grasp the enormity of who Jesus really is.  But this understanding is also what will bring the peace and carry them through the turmoil and trouble that is just ahead.  Jesus speaks plainly to them and they said they now understand. “ For the Father tenderly loves you, because you love me and believe that I’ve come from God. I came to you sent from the Father’s presence, and I entered into the created world, and now I will leave this world and return to the Father’s side.” (v.27-28 TPT). This is what will give them the courage to go through whatever is ahead of them.  We know they are shaken to the core and became so confused they did not know what to think or do.  But ultimately, when they encountered the resurrected Jesus, they knew for sure and from then on would never be shaken in their faith in him. Paul tells us about this peace also. “ Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:6-7 NLT; see also Col 3:15, Isa 26:3)
