今日のことば

民数記1:44-46（新改訳JSS2017）　以上がモーセとアロン、またイスラエルの族 長たちが登録した者たちである。この族 長たち十二人は、それぞれ、自分の一族を代 表していた。45一族ごとに登録された二十歳以上のイスラエルの子らで、イスラエルで戦に出ることができる者すべて、46登録された者の総数は、六十万三千五百五十人であった。

コメント

主なる神はマクロの神であり、ミクロの神です。神は大きな全体像を知り、働きながら、一個人をも知り、思いやりを示されます。ここで、主はイスラエルの国民全体を見られていますが、全ての一個人まで数えられるようにと命じました。すべての者は神の関心にあります。主はイスラエルを国ごとエジプトから導き出されましたが、一人残らず数えられました。イザヤにはこのように記されています。「主の書物を調べて読め。これらのもののうち、どれも失われていない。それぞれ自分の伴侶を欠くものはない。それは、主の口がこれを命じ、主の御霊がこれらを集めたからである」（イザヤ 34:16 JSS2017）。主イエスは私たちに関して言われました。「五羽の雀が、二アサリオンで売られているではありませんか。そんな雀の一羽でも、神の御前で忘れられてはいません。それどころか、あなたがたの髪の毛さえも、すべて数えられています。恐れることはありません。あなたがたは、多くの雀よりも価値があるのです」（ルカ12:6-7 JSS2017）。またイザヤは言っています。「だが今、主はこう言われる。ヤコブよ、あなたを創造した方、イスラエルよ、あなたを形 造った方が。「恐れるな。わたしがあなたを贖ったからだ。わたしはあなたの名を呼んだ。あなたは、わたしのもの。4わたしの目には、あなたは高価で尊い。わたしはあなたを愛している。だから、わたしは人をあなたの代わりにし、国民をあなたのいのちの代わりにする。」（イザヤ43:1, 4 JSS2017）。黙示録の中ででも神の民が数えられたときに言いました。「その後、私は見た。すると見よ。すべての国民、部族、民族、言語から、だれも数えきれないほどの大勢の群 衆が御座の前と子羊の前に立ち、白い衣を身にまとい、手になつめ椰子の枝を持っていた。彼らは大声で叫んだ。「救いは、御座に着いておられる私たちの神と、子羊にある」（黙示録 7:9-10）。そして言われました。「御座の中 央におられる子羊が彼らを牧し、いのちの水の泉に導かれる。また、神は彼らの目から　涙をことごとくぬぐい取ってくださる」（黙示録7:17 JSS2017）。イエスご自身がこの羊飼いであります。（ヨハネ 10:3,14 参照）。

Num 1:44-45 ESV  These are those who were listed, whom Moses and Aaron listed with the help of the chiefs of Israel, twelve men, each representing his fathers’ house. 45 So all those listed of the people of Israel, by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war in Israel—

Observation

God is the God of the macro and the micro. God sees and works in the large, big pictures but he is also concerned with and sees each individual.  Here we see the Lord sees the whole nation of Israel but orders a census that counts each individual.  Everyone matters to the Lord. He brought out the whole nation of Israel from Egypt but counts every individual.  Isaiah says, “Look in the scroll of the LORD and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together.” (Isa. 34:16 NIV84).  Here is what the Lord says about each one of us. “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:6-7).  Isaiah reminds us, “But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.” (Isa. 43:1,4 ESV). In the Book of Revelation John records God again counting (see Rev 7,14) But then he says, “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Rev 7:9-10).  We are part of this “great multitude” but John goes on to also say, “For the Lamb (Jesus) in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Rev 7:17 ESV) And he knows each of his sheep and calls them by name. (see John 10:3,14).
