民数記 9:2-3 （新改訳JSS2017）　「イスラエルの子らは、定められた時に、過越のいけにえを献げよ。2あなたがたはこの月の十四日の夕暮れ、その定められた時に、それを献げなければならない。それについてのすべての掟とすべての定めにしたがって、それをしなければならない。」

コメント

これは過越しの儀式をもってエジプトからイスラエルの救いと脱出を祝った一年忌でした。彼らは各家ごと第一の月（ニサンの月）に完全な傷のない子羊を選び出し、ほふりました。

その血をヒソプの枝をもって家のかもいと門柱に塗りました。そしてその家の中で、過ぎ越しの食事をともに分かち合いました。これは記念として代々守るべき永遠の掟でした（出エジプト記 12:14参照）。過越しのお祝いとそのすべての掟は私たちの過ぎ越しの小羊となられたキリストとその身代わりの死を指していました（１コリント5:7；ヨハネ1:29，36；黙示録 5:6,9,12も参照）。この過ぎ越しの祭りのお祝いをイエスが弟子たちと共に食事の時にイエスは聖餐式のおきてを定められたのです。「それからパンを取り、感謝の祈りをささげた後これを裂き、弟子たちに与えて言われた。「これは、あなたがたのために与えられる、わたしのからだです。わたしを覚えて、これを行いなさい。」食事の後、杯も同じようにして言われた。「この杯は、あなたがたのために流される、わたしの血による、新しい契約です」（ルカ22:19-20 JSS2017；１コリント 11:23-26も参照）。イエスが私たちのために贖いの代価を払われて買い戻されたことを決して忘れないようにしましょう。「ご存じのように、あなたがたが先祖伝来のむなしい生き方から贖い出されたのは、銀や金のような朽ちる物にはよらず、19傷もなく汚れもない子羊のようなキリストの、尊い血によったのです」（１ペテロ 1:18-19 JSS2017）。思い起こし、祝いましょう。

Num 9:2-3 NIV84  “Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover at the appointed time. 3 Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with all its rules and regulations.”

Observation

This was the first anniversary of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt which began with the Israelites observing the Passover as the Lord had directed them.  They took a perfect lamb without blemish for a household, killed it on the fourteenth day of the first month (Nisan).  They used hyssop branches to put some of the blood of the lamb on the doorposts and lintel of their entry.  Then they ate the Passover meal together with the family inside their house (tent in the wilderness). The Lord had commanded them to keep this celebration as a memorial through all generations (see Exo. 12:14).  The Passover and all of its regulations points to Christ and his death on the cross who became our Passover Lamb (see 1Cor 5:7; John 1:29, 36; Rev 5:6,9,12 etc.).  It was at this Passover meal with his disciples that Jesus instituted the Eucharist (Communion). “And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.” (Luk 22:19-20 : see also 1 Cor 11:23-26). Let’s never forget the ransom Christ paid to redeem us back to himself. “Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.” (1Pet 1:18-19 NIV84). Let us remember and celebrate!
