民数記 10:2 （新改訳JSS2017）　「銀のラッパを二本作りなさい。それを打ち物作りとしなさい。あなたはそれを用いて会衆を召し出したり、宿営を出発させたりしなければならない。」

神はモーセにイスラエルの民に指示の合図を出すために銀のラッパを造るようにと命じました。この時おそらく200-300万人の人々が非常に広く広がって宿営していました。祭司たちはこれらのラッパをそれぞれの合図を持って、鳴らすようにと言われました（8節参照）。民の全会衆を幕屋の前に集める時に鳴らす合図がありました。指導者だけを集める時の合図もありました。宿営から立ち上がり旅するときに4つの区分に分けて（三部族ごと）出発するそれぞれの合図がありました。戦いに召集し、神の助けを呼ばわるためのラッパの音もありました。また、祭りや祝いの時、季節の合図もありました。神は今日もご自分の民に合図を出し、指示されます。この時代の終わりに様々なラッパの合図が鳴らされるようになります。「人の子は大きなラッパの響きとともに御使いたちを遣わします。すると御使いたちは、天の果てから果てまで四方から、人の子が選んだ者たちを集めます」（マタイ24:31 JSS）。キリストはラッパの鳴り響く中で終わりに再臨されます。「すなわち、号令と御使いのかしらの声と神のラッパの響きとともに、主ご自身が天から下って来られます。そしてまず、キリストにある死者がよみがえり、それから、生き残っている私たちが、彼らと一緒に雲に包まれて引き上げられ、空中で主と会うのです。こうして私たちは、いつまでも主とともにいることになります」（１テサロニケ 4:16-17 JSS；１コリント15:52も参照）。黙示録の書を通して多くのラッパが鳴らされて物事が起こります。特に７つのラッパが鳴り響き最後の出来事が起こされます（黙示録 8:2,6参照）。第七のラッパと共にこの時代のおわりが完成します。「第七の御使いがラッパを吹いた。すると大きな声が天に起こって、こう言った。「この世の王国は、私たちの主と、そのキリストのものとなった。主は世々限りなく支配される」（黙示録11:15 JSS）。私たちは耳を澄まし神のラッパが鳴り響くのを聞き受けましょう。「シオンで角笛を吹き鳴らし、わたしの聖なる山でときの声をあげよ。」地に住むすべての者は、恐れおののけ。主の日が来るからだ。その日は近い」（ヨエル 2:1 JSS）。

Num 10:2  “Make two silver trumpets. Of hammered work you shall make them, and you shall use them for summoning the congregation and for breaking camp.

Observation

God instructed Moses, Aaron and the priests to make silver trumpets to signaling and communicating with the people of Israel. There were probably 2-3 million people spread out over a very large area.  The priests were appointed to blow the trumpets at various times (v.8). There were to be various signals for different communications.  The trumpets were to be blown to gather all the people together to the Tabernacle.  Another signal was used to call for just the leaders.  There was a signal for when the Israelites were to break camp and when each group (3 tribes each) were to begin moving out.  There was also to be a certain signal to call to war and to remember that God would go with them and fight for them.  The trumpets were also used to announce the various feasts and appointed times.  God still communicates with his people and through his anointed ones to call to the whole congregation of His people. The Lord has told us that there are trumpets that will be blown at the end of the age.  “And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matt 24:31 ESV).  The final return of Christ to the earth will also be announced with a trumpet sound. “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.” (1Thes 4:16 ESV; see also 1Cor 15;52 etc.). All through the book of Revelation we see trumpets being blow and signaling various things happening.  Particularly there are 7 trumpets that will be blown to announce the final events (see Rev 8:2,6 etc.).  The seventh trumpet signals the final climax of this age. “Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” (Rev 11:15 ESV).  We must be attentive and listening for the sound of the trumpets of God.  “Blow a trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming; it is near.” (Joel 2:1 ESV).
