民数記 18:20 (新改訳JSS2017)　 主はまたアロンに言われた。「あなたは彼らの地で相続地を持ってはならない。彼らのうちに何の割り当て地も所有してはならない。イスラエルの子らの中にあって、わたしがあなたへの割り当てであり、あなたへのゆずりである。」

コメント

アロンとその子らは主に仕える祭司として選び分けられました。彼らには、イスラエルが神にもっと来られるいけにえとささげものの火で焼かれない分を受け取ることができました。しかし、イスラエルの部族の間では相続する地は与えられませんでした。(後に見られるように、住むための町を用意され与えられました。) でも、もっと素晴らしいことが約束されました。主は言われました。「わたしがあなたへの割り当てであり、あなたへのゆずりである。」これは、私たちも神への祭司として選ばれ（1ペテロ2:9参照）、私たちは「旅人、寄留者なのです」を指しています(1ペテロ2:11; へブル11:13参照)。 しかし、神はもっとすぐれた相続地を約束し、用意われています。信仰の人々は永遠の、天の国と都を目指しているのです(へブル11:14-16参照)。レビ人であったアサフはこう言いました。「この身も心も尽き果てるでしょう。しかし　神は私の心の岩 とこしえに　私が受ける割り当ての地。28 しかし　私にとって 神のみそばにいることが　幸せです」（詩篇　73:26,28 JSS2017）。また哀歌に書かれています。「主こそ、私への割り当てです」と 私のたましいは言う。それゆえ、私は主を待ち望む。 25主はいつくしみ深い。主に望みを置く者、主を求めるたましいに」(哀歌 3:24-25 JSS2017)。

Num 18:20 AMP And the Lord said to Aaron, You shall have no inheritance in the land [of the Israelites], neither shall you have any part among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the Israelites.

Observation

Aaron and his sons were set apart to serve as priests to the Lord.  They were given the portions of the offerings of the Israelites that were not designated to be burned on the altar.  But they were not to have any land inheritance among the tribes of Israel (although we shall see that they were given certain cities and their environs spread out throughout Israel).  But they were given something even greater.  The Lord said, “I am your portion and inheritance”.  This points to the fact that we are “pilgrims and sojourners” in this world (see 1Pet 2:11; Heb 11:13 etc.).  But God has promised a better inheritance.  The people of faith look for an eternal, heavenly country and city (Heb 11:14-16).  Asaph, a Levite, said it this way, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. 28 But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.” And in Lamentations, “I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.” (Lam 3:24-25 NIV84).
