Num 21:16-18 ESV  And from there they continued to Beer; that is the well of which the LORD said to Moses, “Gather the people together, so that I may give them water.” 17 Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well!—Sing to it!— 18  the well that the princes made, that the nobles of the people dug, with the scepter and with their staffs.”

Observation                                                                                                 

God again provides water for the people of Israel in the wilderness, but this time they are also involved in the process.  First, they sang to the well according to the word of the Lord.  The Lord spoke saying, “Gather the people together, so that I may give them water.” Then the people sang in prophetic declaration, “Spring up, O well! –Sing to it!…”  In the past they had only murmured and complained Then they used what they had, their rods and staffs, to begin to dig the well.  This is a picture of how we can cooperate with God and his word to see his promises fulfilled in our lives.  Isaiah declared, “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” (Isa 12:2-3 ESV).  Jesus also promised, “”If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'” (John 7:37-38 ESV).  If we are feeling dry and thirsty, try singing to your well.
